I loved the decor and old feel!!!
I had to call down twice to get towels and it took them so long I sent my husband to go grab some off a cart!!!
As our trip to Chicago, we were really tired since we woke up at 4am to go to the airport. We got to your hotel about 1pm and we come to the front desk and give the confirmation that we book to the guy. For some reason, He just acted like we never book the room and he started to ask where did you book the room from. As I said, I book from Kayak and the fuy started to shake his head and show his attitude about our visit not suppose to be there. We wait about 5 mins and he told us that we dont have any room for you guys yet... I told him that I just check in online and I put in out arrival before 3pm. Then he started look up again then he told us that there will be the room available at 3pm for you guys. After hearing that, I am kind of mad because of our long travel. However, we were super tired and want to rest at that momment so we decided to ask if there any other room available. Then, I go back to ask the guy but he just ignored me and talk on the phone. He acted like he dont want to have any other conversation with me. It is really unprofessional and really unwelcome to the hotel. Luckily, There is another front desk guy so I decided to walk there after thag everything went smooth.
Staff was awesome! Location was awesome!
The rooms were a little small, but we didn't plan on spending much time in the room anyway, so it was ok. The beds are not made for a 6ft or above person. I am 5'11 and sleeping comfortably meant my feet hung off the bed (queen size bed). The room was well kept, except there was black tape holding the carpet down between the entry walkway area of room and the restroom. Overall, there were minor issues and didn't make our stay unpleasant!
From the moment we walked in we were treated with the upmost respect and the entire staff went over board to take care of us.
No free wifi in the room.
Room was dingy - I found a hair pin and crumbs on my floor. And the wallpaper was peeling.
Only the Location was good
Terrible service, the staff is rude, they over charge you for everything. The room was not confortable, worst service I have ever seen in a hotel! Wouldnt recomend anyone to stay here.
The city view room I stayed in was perfect for my needs; a place to sleep and unwind without any wasted space.
Staff was very friendly and professional. The concierge was terrific!
Room was cramped.
overall the hotel was really nice. it's in a great location and all the staff was friendly and very helpful. It would be nice if the wifi would be complementary and the items stocked in the fridge were well overpriced. overall the room was very clean and spacious. Had a great time.
Have t pay for WiFi
Very luxurious for the price, they have very good upkeep. The staff was very friendly, we dont ask for much when staying at a hotel but the few time we did they were more than willing to help. Never heard a peep from other people staying at the hotel so that was a major plus.
My room did not say it was a smoking room but when we got in the smell of cigarettes was strong so we had to open the windows a bit since it was 10 degrees outside. When we were checking in they didn't have my reservation in the front lobby computer so I waited over 15 minutes until it was put in the system.
The location is awesome considering the price of the room.
The room, although cheap, was pretty small.
The filter in the ceiling heater was disgusting and looks like it was last cleaned in 1942. Just wondering how our lungs look.
This hotel was in a great location, walking distance from restaurants and shopping.
Our hotel room was next to the service elevator and the housekeepers were very loud in the morning.
Location, especially if ur going shopping or to MCA.
Lowest two levels of room r very small. If ur a plus size couple, upgrade to a room w a king size bed.
This hotel should be rated at most three stars. The facility is way too old for comfortable.
Small room , tiny beds, expensive parking etc
They provided the service I needed which was a place to sleep.
Because the entrance to the hotel was on Huron and not right on Michigan Av., it was hard to get a cab to get anywhere. The room was very small as well.
Room not ready on arrival. Requested extra linens and the smelled musty.
The location was great! Everything you need is within walking distance. The doorman was very courteous and helpful.
The room was small and the bed was terrible. The bed creaked terribly with any movement and the middle of the bed was very sunken. We arrived a little after 7am and we knew it was unlikely that we would be able to check in that early, but we were told they would try to get a room cleaned and they would call me when one was available. We did some sightseeing and came back around 10am to check again and we were told that there was a specific room held for us and they requested a rush on the cleaning. We stayed in the lobby for awhile to rest while we waited and witnessed multiple people checking into rooms. I checked again around 11am and we were told that our room still was not ready. We went to lunch to kill some more time and we came back around 12:30pm. At that time, we finally had a helpful desk agent tell us that our room was still not ready, but she had another room available. We didn't care which room we were in and it didn't help that they assigned a specific room to us. We would have taken the first room available from the start. This was very frustrating after traveling all night.
Staff were very professional and helpful. Restaurant on 2nd floor was quite nice; breakfast very good.
Check-in is on 2nd floor; better signage needed to guide guests. Elevators were slow. Price High for rooms for this type of hotel. I was late making reservations and ended up with a "petite classic." Small. It also needed some repair in bathroom.
Location . Reception . Understanding of the customer. Morning coffee.
No break fast included.
It was comfortable and convenient to where we wanted to stay. Most of the staff was great, and we had a wonderful bartender.
I booked a room in advance for 2, when I got there they said it was only 1 bed, I was under the impression it was 2 beds, so we had to pay more for our rooms. I also don't like that you have to go to the lobby for coffee., it's so inconvenient. The food is a little to pricey for my taste, and they don't have vending machines, only $5+ pops/sodas, in the refrigerator, and who buys an airplane bottle of liquor for $25?
