Had a great time, easy access to everywhere, nice, clean & affordable
I got this deal a mth ago & was very pleased, easy access to the beach and surroundings, nice and helpful staff as well. It would have been nicer if there were appliances to cook for self. My husband had to follow a special diet which came about after we booked our trip and suddenly found out about days prior leaving, we definitely had a great 11 nights and enjoyed ourselves.
We stayed for three nights and we were very comfortable with the staff every one was pleasant, we were two minutes from the beach which i wanted more than ever. Thanks, and you guys are great and we will come again, Keep up good works.
The good thing is the location. Lots of places to go within walking distance. Bad thing is that you have to go to other hotel beaches. There was not hot water in the shower and the phone did not work. There is construction noise since early in the morning. Mattress was terrible. Air conditioning is good. Poor internet signal in the room but you get a good connection in the lobby. Nice restaurant/sports bar.
Great location and room with one exception...not very good hot water or shower head. We were on third floor (no elevator) so perhaps it just needed to run a very long time, but water was barely warm for our stay and cold water was kind of warm too. The shower head was also very bad/water pressure perhaps inadequate. Otherwise, we had a great stay and all the people were very helpful and gracious. They got us booked for a great catamaran 5 hour - Stilletto...a bit smaller group but the guys were great and the food was great and it was so fun.
This was my first time at Time Out at the Gap and really enjoyed myself. The staff was excellent and they were always willing to guide me to the hot spots around town. The rooms were very clean and were always willing to help with anything. I plan on going back to Barbados and staying at the Gap because of the service and location of the hotel walking distance from the Gap where all the night life is at.
the hotel was nice we had a great room, with a view of the soccer field and beach, this is not a 5 star hotel but it is very nice for what you pay, the staff were accomodating and the rooms were clean, the food was ok, we only ate breakfast there, the beach was very nice and only a quick walk across the street, we will definitely be back and will stay here again.
I stayed @ time out apirl 1 to 7. The rooms a very small, thay have a nasty old mildew smell. The staff in the hotel are not nice. The apliance in the room are very old and dont work. The contental breakfast not good just bread and old juice. Hotel view no good cant see nothing but the pool. The hotel lobby you see bird droping on the table and the chairs you sit in.i will never stay or reckamend anyone to stay there.
stayed here in sep 08 for 7 days. this was my 3rd trip to this hotel, 9th trip to Barbados. The hotel is clean and definitely no frills, but the staff make up for a lot. Ate breakfast here every morning, was good for the area. The bar is usually crowded during the 2 happy hours, but the staff is very helpful The room was sufficient, the water hot and the a/c cold, which I enjoyed. I spent many weeks at the Divi down the street, and this place beats them hands down. All the visitors here have been very friendly and share info about trips they take and recommendations are plenty. Really enjoy staying here and will do again.
A friend and I visited Barbabdos for a few days, I booked this hotel because it was cheaper than others but still $152 per night, The location is just down the street from the 'nigthlife' and directly across the street from Dover Beach which was nice, it did save on cab fare. \n \nDon't book this hotel unless you don't plan to spend anytime here. The first day they had to unclog the tub because it wouldn't drain, and you have to keep the sink faucet running to get 'hot' water to the third floor faster. They will only change towels every two days. The bartender at the empty bar barely wants to get up to get you drink. After all this you can imagine we didn't choose to eat breakfast here. \n \nA renovation is going on directly across the street, so right now all you can see is five story wall of concrete, that is being worked on very early in the morning. \n \nGood Things...location and, we were able to book an activity from the desk, but make sure you know what you want because their book of activties is filthy and very limited. \n \nNot a Good Choice!! \n
Just got back from a lovely time in Barbados. The hotel is definitely no frills. The king beds are two twins pushed together. The fridge is cool, not cold. That said, we had a great time.\nThe people at the hotel were very warm, friendly and helpful. We had a view of the beach instead of the balcony we expected, which was great. We ate dinner at the hotel one night and it was really terrific, and very reasonable. The beach was never crowded, and is a two minute walk across the street. I think Barbados is what you make of it. Some people seem to want to find things to complain about. This is not a luxury hotel, but it has everything you need and more!
