I love the hotel and loved the view of the beach.. we enjoyed the stay. were planning on booking agian in June of 2016.
Staff was very friendly, and upgraded our room for no extra charge do to a misunderstanding on my part. Room was very clean, and big. Loved the location! The beach was right across the street, and there were tons of restaurants within walking distance.
Nothing, it was a great experience!
Cheapest there but still expensive. Saltwater pool
Great customer service friendly staff
All the traffic around the hotel
Was totally surprised at the awesome value.....so close to the beach, large room, great view and super clean for an older building.
Very Close to the beach
The air conditioner sucked
Across the street from one of Florida's best beaches.
Cheap uncomfortable mattress, old flattened pillows.
The room was cozy, spacious, with full kitchenette, stuff was nice and friendly. Hotel is located across the road from the beach, so you could go there in swimming suit.
Tiny bugs or cockroaches (could not figure out, but still distressing), not many, just a few, but still.
Location to the beach and restaurants.
there were no vending machines available.
The location was the only thing!
It was very old, run down and out of the 4 nights/5 days we spent at the hotel they only did service on the room (making beds/towels, etc) one of the days. It was very poor!
close to the beach. weren't bothered by noisy tenants
bathtub plug broken
Location, price for location.
No, it was what I expected from the website description and reviews.
Very close to the beach; room was clean too.
Thin walls- had to hear the TV plaing in the room next door all night. Dryer was broken
Not at all. Old but nice, worth the price!
It was directly across the street from beach access and it had a bar/grill right next door.
No barbque grill.
The hotel was situated a block from the beach and had beach and bay views from the balcony. KC, the clerk who was working when I checked in was extremely helpful.
It was clean and comfortable with easy access to the beach and other attractions. There was an awesome view especially at sunset. If I return to clearwater beach i would certainly stay here again.
Room was very clean - decorated with newer bedspreads, curtains etc... felt more like home then a motel. Staff was great - walk to restaurants, shops, pier 60 & marina. Pool was small - no Jacuzzi. Price - 1/2 of what others were charging within a few blocks.
I originally checked into the Hyatt - in short not impressed. Extra charges for parking, beach chairs and a 'resort fee' for nothing - and after finding someone else' s soiled panties in between the headboard and the wall - decided to find someplace else. No reservations I inquired at the Ritz Motel - not as fancy as the Hyatt - but a better view from my room and SERVICE! The guy in the evening at the front desk was awesome - unlike the Hyatt employee who was clueless. This guy knew everything - where to go - what to do etc... I followed his suggestions and left my car parked as he called for a free ride on a golf cart ( these were fun and the drivers are happy with a 3.00 - 5.00 tip which is cheaper then parking anyway.) Had a great meal at Original Frenchy's then Brown Boxer for drinks and a great band. The next day was spent at the beach - and the Ritz had some beach chairs for guests - FREE. Just return for the next guest. The Ritz staff made sure I had a great time - no 'resort fees - extra fees for parking etc... for less the 1/2 the price of the Hyatt. I got a clean nicely decorated room - great view - and friendly service. What more can you ask for.
This is why I usually prefer to skip the chain motels, granted you are sometimes taking a chance with a 'no name' motel - but for the occasional disappointment it's worth finding a diamond in the rough which is how I would describe the Ritz Resort / Westmont Inn. First when we walked in the small office lobby I was asked if I had a reservation - I did... and with out looking the front desk guy welcomed me by name... I have been expecting you - the A/C is on in your room and I pre inspected it so you are all set. While filling out the reservation card he asked what our plans were for dinner - which we had none except we were hungry after our 4 hour flight. He inquired what we were hungry for - seafood - then made some suggestions and as if by magic this guy had a coupon / discount for what seemed every place on the beach. He knew not only what was on the menu - what was best, but then who to ask for. Are you kidding me? Well we went to Crabby Bills Beachwalk which was a few doors down and asked for the server he suggested. He was right - great service - awesome view of the beach and sunset - reasonable price good seafood. ( Highly suggest if you stay here. ) Our first night was great - the maid was very fast - in & out... a different lady was at the front desk - she was the manager apparently. The motel does not have hair dryers in the room and I replied this was the only complaint I had when asked if everything was fine. Well she produced a hair dryer out of back room somewhere and said 'Now you not complain no more' in broken English. Topped with a very warm smile... had to laugh - true all one has to do is ask I was reminded - for anything. Later, while enjoying the pool and sunshine. I noticed the same guy had arrived that had checked us in. He suggested tonight's ' Deal of the Day ' was an all you can eat Crab Legs and Prime Rib buffet - a bit spendy but well worth the feast at Shepard's - then we went to a bar he suggested for a live band. The room # 50 was...
