The location was great, the staff were friendly, and the amenities were nice. It was a little run down, but overall well worth the price.
Room was mostly clean, good location with beach access, bar attached and many other faculties. Breakfast should of been free but everything else was good.
We have stayed here many times but we had the worst room we've ever had on this stay. The hotel was completely booked over New Years and we suffered for it with service. The room wasn't serviced every day, the lock on the door didn't work, we had to get new keys everyday (and it's a long walk to the lobby), none of the plugs in the lamps worked, old TV, the shower head didn't work, the drain didn't work, the toilet kept running, etc. The bright side was the beach and the restaurant on the beach, Mambos.
All in all a great place to stay. Price was affordable, rooms were nice, super close to the beach, staff was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we would definitely stay again!
It was the best customer service yet. We went for one night but stood 3. Would definitely stay again. Can't wait to come again. Very family orientated. It was 8 of us, 4 adults 4 kids and we all had a blast. Beach, s'mores, pirate slides, great music, basketball, volleyball, all you can eat crabs and seafood!! Awesome time!!!
It was a pleasant get away for such a good price and nice restaurants right on the water. And free parking and Internet! I will definitely stay here next time I come down to Cocoa
Loved the location and amenities. Breakfast buffet for $10.99 was so fabulous!! If we had had more time at the resort, I know the other facilities would have been awesome. Its proximity to the beach could not have been better!!
We were staying overnight the night before we departed on our honeymoon. However, the text confirmation guaranteed us a king bed, International claimed that they had no text confirmation system. The only king bed they had available was in a handicap accessible room, which has a walk in shower with absolutely NO water pressure to speak of. I really wanted a cleansing shower after driving 7 hours, and instead got a trickle. Beds were also not the most comfortable.
We booked this hotel online due to the low price and beachfront location, due to the price our expectations weren't very high. However this hotel turned out to be the highlight of our honeymoon, during our one night stay we were upgraded to a beachfront suite, and given a complimentary gift of fireside dessert for the restaurant. Every staff member that we encountered were very friendly and helpful, we will definitely be returning!
The location is good, but they are wasting opportunities
The room was falling apart. The walls paper thin... Not only could I hear lots of "Adult naked" activities next door. I could hear arguments and throwing up and more. The carpet had holes. The furniture was dated and worn out. And the "Sports Bar" on a Saturday during college football season didn't open until after 5pm. I had to go across the street to watch games in the morning.
Location & price
Dirty & run down
Bed was very hard. The bathroom door was falling apart. It appeared to have water damage. Had to switch rooms due to the television and refrigerator were not working. The room really needed updated.
Staff was awesome and friendly at the front desk. Cool area and the layout of the place was interesting.
All the ice machines were non functioning, outside was kinda dirty, rooms were small, beds were pretty rough, technology in the room was terribly out of date. Like, 90s tube tv, half the lights worked, I felt like I was paying more so for the location alone rather then the actual hotel itself.
The restaurant staff, music band were awesome and provided a great ambiance!
The rooms and both pools!
It was good for adults. Definitively the hotel for young partiers. The staff and service was good.
The amenities were not so great. The hot tub wasn't working. The hotel is kind of run down. The overall ambience was kind of trashy.
Our TV broke at 9:30 PM and they did send someone to replace it. The Mambo Restaurant had great dinner specials. We didn't plan on eating there each night, but we did. The food and service was great. The price we paid was fair. We liked the kiddie pool area. The front desk was very helpful.
I wouldn't pay higher for the room because it needs some improvements such as a less noisy air conditioner, the bathroom sink was dripping, the fridge was rusty, and the pillows were terrible. The kiddie pool area was in bad need of renovations. It needed a paint job. There were paint flakes in the water. It needs supervision because there were lots of older children over running the little ones. There was dangerous play going on and no parents watching their children. The posted "No one over 12" signs were so old and hard to read and not enforced. The hallway was never swept the entire time we were there (5 days) because there was someone smoking cigarettes outside his door (2 doors down) and he just threw them on the walkway and they stayed there.
The hotel is great the breakfast is awesome very well located. The staff was very attentive and made sure to go above and beyond what we expected. We are truly happy we stayed there.
The room was dirty when we arrived and the kids woke up with ant bites.
I was extremely pleased with the treatment we received from all the staff and the front desk staff in particular. We had some problems with our first room and they were great about getting us in a better room for the inconvenience. FABULOUS STAFF!!!
Bathrooms and plumbing fixtures need updated in both of the rooms we stayed in.
You need to overlook a lot of things but for the price I paid you can't go wrong This hotel is old and ran down it does need updating, it needs rehabilitation it's a larger facility. This hotel is old and ran down it does need updating it needs rehabilitation it's a larger facility with many could be awesome ugly on the beach.
I would not pay a thing close to hundred dollars a night for this hotel until they renovated my door lock was broken I would not pay a thing close to hundred dollars a night for this hotel until they renovated my door lock was broken but for 65 a night it's hard to find anything on Coco Beach for under $125 beachfront
Close to beach and that is the only positive!!
Poor customer service!! 4 people standing around no one bothered to say hello. Finally one associate asked someone else to help me... That associate did not bother to raise her head or help so another assocate jumped into help.. There was 4 people staying in our room yet there was only a set of towels for two people. I called to ask for additional towels and I had to wait over an hour!! The room smelled the premises was dirty!!
proximity to the beach
dirty, not maintained, unfriendly staff, overpriced, dirty, dirty, dirty, ice machine are all not working, dirty overall
Location, Pools, Spa outdoor.
No Linen services requested, No coffee in room or continental breakfast option, Bare cold sweaty tile flooring.
Great location, inexpensive, great for a group of friends on a road trip looking for a decent place to stay on the cheap
No continental breakfast, not super clean
My Mom and i just spend 3 nights there . One of them was a nightmare , without power for a few hours . No apologies from management for the inconvenient.
Oceanfront villa window was broken. I was so paranoid someone would break in I left and stayed at a nicer hotel and carried one of the kitchen knives with me on the way to the car. The patio that led to the beach path was not lit so I couldn't see if there was someone outside the window. I initially tested to the window to make sure it was locked and the entire top piece of the pane broke off with a gentle push. I was shocked. It was as if it had been broken into before and was glued back together and put back on the frame. Or perhaps it was the salt water that broke it apart. I didn't report it. I just cancelled my reservation for the following week and left. I was spooked to begin with because some guy on the upper floor wearing bathrobe was gawking at me the every time I walked back from my car. I brought in a suit case, bought a pizza, got groceries. Every time I passed his room on the way to mine he was standing the same spot in the breezeway smoking a cigarette and staring down at me. At one point he made a comment about how fast I was walking. I was going to ignore it because it was so close to the beach and affordable, until I returned to hotel after dark from a visit with a relative and found the broken window. I love the close beach access and having a kitchen but I was traveling alone with my son and the building was far away from other buildings and poorly lit. The creeper who couldn't stop staring looked like a long term renter and my intuition just gave me a bad feeling about him. I just didn't feel safe and that's the worst feeling when you are on vacation. I would recommend for budget travelers who travel in groups or large families. It has great amenities.
The oceanfront villa door is right next to the maintenance room so it's quite noisy mid day. I can hear everything going on upstairs. There were ants in the tub and I washed them down but they gave my 3 year old son anxiety.
We had a villa that was a few 100 ft from the beach
Enough space, large rooms
Not really clean, location was not good: no restaurants or like
I was on town for the marathon and was originally given room 510. It was a nonsmoking room across from the hot tub and pool. It reeked of smoke. The door didn't shut all the way and I could see the outside from in the room. The bathroom was mildewed and old! And roaches.... Then they gave me an upgrade to a loft, room 730, which wasn't much better. It also smelled of smoke; was right next to the all-night bar and more bugs. I checked out and went to the Hampton Inn (the Rtiz compared to this hotel) down the beach. The sad thing is that this hotel (when it was the Holiday Inn) was gorgeous 20 years ago. My father used to stay there on business. Now.... stay far, far away!!!
The hotel location, restaurants and recreation areas are great. The buffet breakfast was good and a great value.
The carpet was dirty, beds a bit stiff....
I liked the restaurant at the hotel called Mambos. The jerk chicken sandwich was delicious
The bed was so uncomfortable. Hard as a rock. The TV is old. Ac was loud.
That it was on the beach, the restaurants, and bars
Our room, the tv, microwave didn't work at first, there was a brown mushy stain on the bathroom floor, the tub water didn't drain, we arrived around 1 pm, they told my husband our room wasnt ready, they'd call us as soon as it was, but to check back in an hour, this time I went in, they advertised that they had a vacancies, so you mean to tell me that if someone vane in on the street they'd say , rooms aren't ready? Anyhow they told me they had just checked in 40 some roons, wait, they told my husband that there weren't rooms ready, now they tell me that in that hour that went by they checked 40 rooms in and didn't let us? We had to wait until 4 which on the kayak reservation it didn't say anything about a 4 pm check in. So we paid $75 for 18 hours, nor even a full day, had to check in our room, then leave so someone should come in and fix the stuff wrong work our room. Oh yea ice machines never had ice.
Proximity to the beach. Reasonable rates. Options available at resort.
Rooms definitely need upgrading! I love staying here.
Great waterpark and pools. Fire pits, volleyball, basketball, corn hole. Lots to do. Even a beachside bar. Great for families, couples, or friends. It accommodates everyone. The room was a bit dirty, and dated. But for the price, you have to give somewhere. This was a resort style place with the rooms of an outdoor hotel. Would stay here again.
Close to the beach and our friend's wedding location. Everything pretty much in walking distance.
No foot shower coming off the beach meant our room was pretty sandy. They charged a security deposit once we arrived on top of the price we already paid which was NOT explained at booking. Although they credited the security deposit, they also charged back another fee without explanation. We're assuming sand fee, because we straightened the room before we left. No pool, no real amenities. Found visiting our friends in the hotels around us they paid MUCH MUCH less for NICER rooms and some even had pools. It's sad when Motel 6 was more than 1/2 the price but had a nicer room. All in all, we would never book this hotel again.
the room we stayed in had not been updated in a very long time, the drain in shower was very slow and overall we was disappointed with this room for the money
This place is horrible. Rusty bathroom fixtures, mildew smell, greasy carpet, noisy A/C, constant construction material outside, bed that was like a gummy bear, lighting was horror show-esque. Room was nothing like the web site photo. This place is great for a bunch of guys to crash cheap after Bike Week at Daytona. Resort it is not.
