The dog and I arrived having traveled route 14 through Cody. Yellowstone Valley Inn was the perfect oasis. Even though short of staff, they manage to make everything pretty much perfect. Thank you again, with special mention to Lisa for her kindness. With gratitude, Sean
Pros:Loved the location, breakfast was good, and room was super clean. Beautiful scenery and quiet.
Cons:Showerhead didn't adjust up or down (or side to side), leaving water hitting the other side of the shower stall wall. This meant my tiny 7-year-old's hair was a big challenge, and even my 6'3" husband found it a challenge. My 12-year-old and I also had to be pretty creative in showering to make it work.
Pros:The view of the mountains and valley was gorgeous.
Cons:1. The bathtub had a ring of dirt around it. 2. Room air conditioner was placed in the back of the room which made the room stuffy. 3. TV had only a few channels of old shows and ALL were constantly snowy. 4. Bedsheets were so old and thin that they were not comfortable. 5. WHEN WE SAW THE ROOM WE DEcIDED WE WOULD NOT STAY A SECOND NIGHT BUT THE CLERK SAID THEY HAVE A POLICY THAT SAYS THERE IS NO REFUND FOR EARLY DEPARTURE. Apparently this policy was in on the form my husband signed when we checked in. WE HAD TO PAY For a second night even though we did not stay. 6. This hotel is located 18 miles from Cody, Wy and near nothing. If you are planning to visit the town of Cody, you will have a long ride to . We would not recommend anyone stay here unless they are RVers. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED in Kayak's inclusion of this place as a decent place to stay.
Pros:Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good with a good selection. If your looking to be away from town, this is a reasonable place on the water to the Easy entrance to Yellowstone
Cons:This is an RV park with a few cabins and a hotel. Cabins are small and rustic. OK for a place to sleep, but nothing special.
