My hairdryer in my room didn't work and I called down to the front desk. The woman there came up right away w a key to anothe room so I could use a working hairdryer.
clean and convenient
The breakfast was not as expected, the bakery products were not fresh
The overall price was good and conveniently located right off of the highway.
It was inexpensive.
The rooms are VERY loud. Even with a box fan on full speed (that I purchased after my first night of a two night stay there), it was ridiculously loud as people walked up the stairs, used the elevator, entered/exited rooms, etc. Not a very well built..I would NOT recommend this hotel at all. It is SLIGHTLY better than sleeping in a car overnight, but not by much. The floors were dirty, only one pillow on a king size bed, and the TV didn't even turn on. It was so dirty I didn't even sleep in my boxer-briefs! I wore a track suit to bed and wore flip-flops instead of walking around/showering with no shoes/socks. I felt like I was going to get a disease from this disgusting excuse of a 'hotel'. This should be classified as a sleazy hotel, not an 'inn'.
staff friendliness and location
not up to my expectations. i usually stay in a Hampton which was rated at this level. this hotel did not have a microwave in the room and there was something wrong with several rooms. an entire hallway was closed off. not the usual options on cable TVeither as per my expectations from Hampton. I would certainly not rate a Hampton at the same level as this hotel but it was Ok.
Was clean and nice. Would stay again for what we paid.
The room was clean, had a recliner, a comfortable bed, and was quiet.
The breakfast was ok - the usual starches with boiled eggs for protein. The hotel is near I70 but the noise wasn't too bad. It is across the street from the mall and has a Denny's very nearby. Some of the rooms are being updated. It seems to be clean and kept up. Nothing fancy, but nice enough.
The girl at the desk was very helpful. She provided extra towels and you could tell that she was very good with customers and that customer service was what she was all about. I would have her working at my business in a heart beat. I think her name was S
1) The wireless Internet kept dropping. I spent almost an hour on the phone with tech support and finally made it clear that I was on a mini vacation and that it was up them to get it to work. It never did. 2) Dog above barking and running around. In reference to the Internet problem, I bought a patch cord and plugged it into the router, which worked fine even though tech support said it would not. I would recommend that this hotel update their wireless to at least 802.11n and get a new company to do their tech support. In reference to the dog who was barking all the time his owners were at breakfast and while I was trying to sleep in.. why put a dog in an upper room? Put them on the ground...
