The Amzi Love Home was built (circa 1848) by Maj. Love for his bride Edith Wallace. The basic structure is Italianate with Greek and Gothic Revival influence. It is located in the Columbus historic district. Mr. & Mrs. R. Sidney Caradine III, the present home owners; say the house has changed very little and the original furnishings are on view for visitors. The Lincoln Home(circa 1833)next door is a Bed and Breakfast awarded a Mississippi Heritage Trust Award for Restoration and visitors are given a free tour of the Amzi Love Home next door as part of their stay at the B&B.
