Location was good
Older hotel and I had a few crickets stay with me.
There were cockroaches in bathroom, when notified, the room was changed, the second room was free of cockroaches however there was no coffee machine and bathroom door was loose and falling, when asked to fix, it was promised but not provided or fixed. The owner or city inspector noses are immune as they cant feel the smell coming off the old carpets allover the hotel, even in elevator.
Initially, the insides looked fine, a bit run down but interesting and the staff were nice.
The room had town full sized, not queen beds. The light in the bathroom wouldn't go on so I could apply makeup, I was there for business. There was NO other mirror. The only other item of furniture in the room was an extremely narrow chest of drawers barely large enough to hold the TV. The tub had the handle pulled out of it sometime in the past and instead of replacing this tub/shower insert, they'd just bondoed the bits back together. The toilet was so low as to be the right size for a preschool. I've stayed at much better Econolodges and Motel 6s, so to have to spend $293 for this room was a complete insult. I will never recommend or stay at this hotel again, unless it was the only room for 62 miles, which was why I had to stay there that night.
All the rooms face inward towards the lobby so looking down from the tenth floor was cool
Staff was distracted and joking with each other while checking me in. Parking was an extra $6.50. I forgot to bring toiletries and they were only able to give me a small packet of toothpaste; no razors, no shaving cream, no toothbrush, no deodorant. Continental breakfast tasted like cardboard.
Location, location, location.
Only one elevator was working upon our arrival, which meant we had to haul all of our luggage and belongings up to our room. There is NO AC in the Lobby area. Breakfast was over way too early, 9am seriously??! The restroom in our room was tiny and appeared to have water damage of some kind.
Pros: Was cheapest I could find on short notice. AC worked, Bed comfortable. Great location, near beach. Walking distance to Marathon Finish Line.
Cons: Desk staff not always (usually?) at desk. Not the most friendly bunch. The janitor was very cordial. Suggest they let her deal with people and give the mop to the ones behind desk. They didn't seem to know how to work their computers anyway. Breakfast was cereal and bread. No coffee pot in musty room. Seems like their plan is to give reasons to visit their overpriced bakery in lobby. Would only return here as last resort.
The hotel has great potential and I love the architectural of the building. That is it!
Desk staff was rude. Rooms were not cleaned right! I got the room from a online site and the room I thought I was booking was not the room I got, then I had to turn around and pay more money for a "upgrade" was not worth it! For the kind of money I spent there I could have went to the omni across the street!! Would never book there again!
We stayed there were put on the tenth floor and the view was nice it is a older possibly not properly maintenance facility when we stepped out of the elevator a bunch of furniture was stacked in front of it on our floor room was clean fairly central to a lot of amenities breakfast was a bagle or cornflakes
I picked this hotel because it said it had a two bedroom suite. When I got there, they tried to put me in a two bed room which was obviously not what I wanted. They took a while to figure it out even when I showed them my confirmation stating it was a two bedroom suite. The lobby does not have ac and is very humid (could be because it was raining outside). The room was ok, but it did smell very old. Beds were semi comfortable and I was grateful that there were four beds. Continental breakfast was bread and cereal. We ended up driving down the street to Stripes and getting some really good breakfast tacos. I will spend more money next time to purchase two rooms..
The night we stayed, the rain was coming down so heavily we ordered sandwiches from the cafe. The bill was 45 dollars for a grilled cheese, two turkey on wheat (with nothing else) and two sourdough pastrami sandwiches. I realize it is a hotel, but the food was awful and took an hour. I should have gone out in the rain!
The room was 98 degrees when we checked in and the keys worked 20% of the time. Very dirty. Breakfast was a joke. Everything was falling apart in the room and pool area. Water EVERYWHERE. Roaches at every door. No towels. Stains on the furniture. Just a bad stay.
Rooms were nice the family and myself liked them very much. I Do recommend this hotel but there were I few dislikes. Thanks.
After I booked my room online while in route to the hotel I still waited in the lobby approximately one hour before the hotel received my booking confirmation through fax so that I could check in. Which to me wasn't a big deal since I'm pretty patient, but the lady checking in next to me had a similar issue and that didn't go to well let me just say a few not so kind words were exchanged over the counter there. Finally some pest control would be helpful, there is nothing like waking up to hearing my daughter scream when she turns on the light to the restroom and Joe's roaches are in the bath tub while your on vacation. Thanks.
I booked a jr suite and was put into a value suite then was made to pay an additional $46 to get the room I initially booked. The manager said it had just been renovated but that seemed to have taken place in the 90's. Wifi was complimentary but could not find the signal. The hotel was dirty and smelled like old facility. Rooms were super hot. Bed was uncomfortable. I actually booked this hotel accidentally and decided to give it a shot, that won't happen again. The shower had no ventilation, so it gets hot in there. Stain on the bed sheet. Do NOT book this hotel unless you are looking for a quick place and comfort do not matter. It's a great hotel for people that go just to party as we noticed vomit stains in the garage stairs as well as the smell of urine.
