There was a bed to sleep in. Coffee machine on site. Location is good.
Room not well furnished nor was it up to standards of cleanliness. TV was unusable by modern standards.
Bathroom smells like people has been using it as a smoke zone. Got a answer that it was the vaccum which cause the smoke smellHalf bottle shampoo was left in bathroom. They should not offer breakfast.
Price was very competitive. Very neat room
No drinking bottled water served. No coffee maker and no microwave
It was very well placed--right near the highway, easy access to downtown.
Our room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, the ice machines did not work, no spoons for breakfast. I told people about the ice machine and the spoons but they basically shrugged in response. Trash outside the hotel was overflowing.
There was no refrigerator in my room.
The front desk staff on check in was excellent great customer service goes a long way for me & hotel employee was so helpful & friendly she was wonderful
There were ants everywhere. I understand sometimes that happens but it was excessive
Loved everything. Staff extremely friendly and courteous 24/7. Room very nice and clean as well the whole hotel was in great clean conditions.
the bed was comfortable,
it smelled like smoke in the hallways all iver tge place, being that it is a non smoking hotel you couldnt tell, it smelled like a bar, an the front desk attendent was unprofessional she was outside smoking an talking to a guest while i was waiting
The water was hot. Internet worked.
Our room was not clean. There were hairs in the bed and stains on the sheets. I slept on top of the covers. The pillows had stains on them. There was mold in the bath tub. The floor was duty. There were not toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion).
Low price, convenient location
The hotel was not very clean. There were two sow bugs (one live, one dead) in my bathroom and I killed several ants near the desk. They provided no shampoo in the room. It wasn't well lit. The only ceiling light was about 60 watts.
Heater in room didn't work. Hole in ceiling of lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful but unprofessional.
They did not have any shampoo. I wouldn't have cared as much had I been told the night before that they were out.
The staff was great. They helped me get checked in rapidly. They held the room for late arrival.
The door going outside down the hallway was broke. The water fountains were broke.
The Lady at the front desk on the days we stayed there, between 8pm to 11pm, she was Awesome, very nice and helpful. They had a nice eating area, if they just had something to eat, could not believe it.
The breakfast they advertised sucked big time, our first day, there was no milk for the cereal, no biscuits and gravy and no waffles, and not much of anything else to eat, had to go to IHOP, that cost extra. The door to exit the building did not work.
We have never been disappointed by Microtel. The room was roomy, clean and modern.
Pictures lie, we thought that we were booking a room that would sleep 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), but there was only 1 bed. When we booked the room, Priceline never asked how many people would be sleeping in the room.
The sheets may have appeared ¿ and been ¿ clean: but they were not pressed or ironed ¿ and that made for a somewhat 'unkempt' look. The 'Breakfast' was 'minimalist' ¿ and that's being generous.
The staff was very helpful and courteous
The room was not very clean and the sheets were discolored..room did not meet exectations
The staff was excellent in every way. The one bedroom was small, but clean and comfortable.
The breakfast could have been better
We arrived late and had to leave early so we didn't get to try any of the extras like the breakfast or the internet. However, the room was emaculately clean the bed was great on the back after a long drive and the night person at the desk was very friendly and helpful. -- Hp
First time in a Microtel. We stayed here because they are pet friendly. Impressed with the night front desk staff -- attentive and professional. We got in at midnight after a long drive. Best thing was that the hotel was very quiet. Neighboring bigger name hotels had full parking lots, but we were one of few guests, so halls were quiet. Downside was that the first room they gave us had not been cleaned at all -- beds unmade, towels on floor. Desk person apologised and gave us a second room which turned out to also need attention. I asked and received a fresh set of sheets because I found hair between the sheets and did not want to move all our stuff to a third room. The bath had granite shower walls and sinks, but no toilet seat cover, so there was less space to put extra clothes when you are changing. The lighting in the bath was the new bulb type which just was not bright enough for makeup application. The TV was not a flat screen but there was cable. The beds were comfortable, firm with soft top; and since the hotel is not as popular as the brands next door, the mattresses were not worn out. No writing pads and pens, no plastic bags for laundry and b'fast was cold rolls, oatmeal or cereal and instant coffee and juice machines. But staff was very accomodating when we had to leave our small dog in a crate during our visit while we were out, and we would probably stay again if we had a pet with us. I just missed the name brand toiletries and better coffee from higher end hotels. We upgraded on our next stop and let the dog 'camp out' in the car.
I have never stayed at a Microtel before but after staying at this one I think my wife and I are sold. We drove to each hotel on our way in to Culpeper to see how they were and by first impression you see nothing but garbage. We were about to get back on the road but drove up to Microtel and saw that it had black marble when you walk in, the staff was very nice, and there was a very nice breakfast in the morning. All in all I give this place 2 thumbs up. Thank you very much for accommodating us and we will definitely recommend this place to our friends as well as stop in next time we are in the area.
