The Holiday Inn Danbury-Bethel is conveniently located off of Interstate 84. Right in the heart of east Danbury near many popular restaurants and shopping areas. We have many amenities including brand new rooms, fitness center, full service restaurant & bar, on-site guest laundry facilities, business center and an outdoor pool. We also offer more than 2500 square feet of meeting space. Complimentary parking and wireless internet.
this Holiday Inn is undergoing renovation , even so it was quiet and comfortable , the staff is friendly and attentive
good solid beds, plenty of towels, and a huge TV. 2d time here as a Secret Saver and it gets better each time.
We were on our way to the DC area from Maine and need a place to stay overnight to break up the drive. The front desk staff were VERY helpful and friendly. The trip to DC was to spend some time with our grandchildren. We make the trip a couple of times a year and will definately stay at this Holiday Inn again.
Perfect stopover on the way home from Florida. Older building has been nicely updated.
The location of the hotel makes it fairly easy for access, and the Romans what I would call average, possibly showing a little bit of its date. There was an issue with one of the automatic door closers on one of the exit doors probably not adjusted right that every time close made a fairly loud thud noise, of course if you are on a different floor or part of the building it would've been noticed. The staff was very personable and helpful although I did mention about the door I don't think anything was done. Breakfast was adequate but not spectacular.
Was driving through to Boston, this hotel was in a perfect location and very comfortable.
Outdoor pool was large and clean, plenty of towels. Breakfast included made to order omlets! Bed was the best I have been in, best part is the location, you can walk to several restaurants, near shopping and the highway but the back side of the building has a large hill behind it so there is no traffic noise, in fact the rear was like it's own little micro climate with trees and small birds. Will stay again!
The hotel is a little dated and was undergoing renovation during my stay but was decent and a good value. My room was clean but was nothing extraordinary in terms of decor or features. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. There are restaurants within walking distance (the one in the hotel was under renovation when I was there) and shopping centers nearby. I would stay again if I was in the area again.
This hotel I highly recommend. The customer service was outstanding and the rooms were clean. They accept pets and always welcome my Pug puppy. The front desk clerks are friendly as with the kitchen/bar staff. I will be staying there from now on.
By far the WORST Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. The hotel is going thru 'renovations' and the restaurant was closed, the bar was closed, there was no breakfast and the hotel smelled like dried grease. The 'fitness center' consisted of 3 broken-down pieces of equipment. It was dirty, dingy and needs more than 'renovations'. It needs to be torn down and re-built. Will never stay there again. The Hampton across the the street is 10x better and less expensive. For $*, this was a horrible experience.
Staff was friendly. Didn't eat in the bar/restaurant, but it looked fine. Great location within Danbury. Elevator is slow and appears old.
I've stayed at the location 3 times. They have always been warm, welcoming and friendly. Most of all, they treat my Standard Poodle, Gaspar, as part of the family. \nThe hot breakfast is usually good with lot's of choices. The one problem I had, cold eggs, they took care of immediately.\nThey have a nice Bar, however its very busy on the weekends which stretches their parking lot quite a bit. In the past, If it's too busy, they have valeted my car.
The place needs renovating. Breakfast bar was not very good. Eggs seemed to be powdered type. \nRoom was very noisy with the fan running on and off all night.
Combined business/vacation. First they sent us to a room that was already occupied. The room they moved us to had a lot of mildew in the bath. I'm not germophobic, but I expected the room to be clean. The whole place smells old and musty. The carpets in the halls are quite dirty. The free continental breakfast was marginal at best. On the positive side, the staff was pleasant.
Hotel was a little dated. However, it was clean and rooms were big. There is a club on the first floor of the Hotel and the parking lot gets loud around 2am on a Saturday night. I would stay again.
