The bathroom was bright and updated. There were nice choices for breakfast. I was not expecting a microwave and 'frige in room, nice surprise.
Stairwells could be better maintained. The concrete is crumbing and poses a tripping hazard.
We arrived late in the day and were checked in quickly. The motel was quiet (despite being full), clean and the neighbourhood felt safe.
Location off interstate
Not very clean.
We had nothing but issues checking in as the hotel didn't have our reservation in the system. Had to wait an hour for front desk to call several different people to get this fixed....absolutely ridiculous considering I paid in advance and had to wait!
Cost was excellent + Easy to get to + had refrigerator; microwave; and coffee pot in room.
Checkout time -- wish it was later. But I think that about all checkout times.
convenience, surroundings location
wish it had a couple more sports channels (NBCSN) and maybe a couple more others
Convenience, and location
TV channels could've been a little better
We were pleasantly surprised at how updated this hotel was. Lobby area was nicer than some 5 star hotels we have stayed at.
They could use better road signage as to where you turn to go to the hotel. We missed the entrance and had to back up on busy highway.
Nothing place was old and dirty and very noisey
Nothing place was old and dirty and very noisey
I was very tired, and was fortune enough to have a quiet room, to get a good night's rest, as I am a light sleeper, and noise is a troublesome occurrence at times
No , nothing in particular. I would recommend to any traveler.
Breakfast in morning was great and the waitress was great.
Got in room and beds were all wrinkled up. Did not think to much about it then. Pulled the sheets back to climb in bid dirt spot and long black hair. Mattress pad was all wrinkled up also. Called front desk lady came down and said it was just a stain.
Stained carpets and bed covers. Very limited breakfast.
Not much room wise...very old and dreary
too many flies in the room
Close to attractions we were going to. Friendly staff...epsecially the front desk clerk. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Plenty of pillows, towels, etc.
Breakfast not open long enough for us.
Good value for the money. Very clean and inviting. Good breakfast. Nice staff.
Clean, bed was very comfortable, service was great.
The breakfast foods available included no protein options and lots of carb laden foods.
The location was perfect for were my family and I were places to eat and easy access to the highway. The desk clerk was very polite and helpful.
The noise of the highway.
Nothing. They didnt have a room for me. Had to drive all the way home instead of staying.
The hotel's greatest attribute was economic value. The XXX/per night was reasonably priced and affordable, particularly as we did not remain onsite beyond sleeping hours.
Inexperience and/or expediency of hotel staff in cleaning the room contributed to repeated requests for them to return and complete the task adequately... and deliver new - clean sheets.
Closeness to what I need to get to, Geisinger Hospital. Break feast was excellent with nice variety to choose from. Staff was very friendly.
The last two days, not room service was performed. Quite surprised.
The price was good..!!
I only rented a room because of work and traveling. I work weird hours and only need a place to sleep. Having a set check in and check out does not work with me. I got in at 4:30 am had to leave at 11 am. Not enough time to sleep.
Location and price.
The room was not made up the second day - no explanation given.
The room was spacious and even had a bonus reclining chair which I wasn't expecting. Very easy to find.
Bedspread was made of drapery material, blanket was more like a mattress cover and not long enough. Coffee pot was NOT clean. Continental breakfast unappetizing.
Everything. It was extremely dirty. There was a dead cochroach in the room. Smoking holes in the sheets. Dirt every where. When we called the front desk to het a room wi th two double beds we were 5 people they said they were sold out. It was empty.
Stains on blankets, food or something smeared on wall, dirt/ to much dirt along wall and floor in room and bath room. Black bug crawling in bath room.
very good price.
however because of that they have a large number of seasonal workers there for a long time which means have people hanging out on balconys smoking & t and .. didnt feel real comfortable. I wont stay again where no elevator to 2nd floor -bad knees.
The bathroom was actually nice and clean.
The very dated room seemed dirty, bugs flying and squished on the wall. Men cooking in the courtyard watching us as we entered the room, then talking very loudly at all hours of the night. Did not feel safe here.
They did offer a simple breakfast with coffee
The room was not that clean even a few bugs Reserved two queen beds then was told none were availabe had to Take doubles.
it was right off the exit
front desk receptionist was rude and made you wait long and she clearly was not doing anything else.
Close to Knoebels
When we arrived at 5:00 pm our room was notwasready even though check in was at 3:00. Our inconvenience wasn't a concern for the hotel.
night staff dropping off cot was surly and unhelpful
Insides remodeled recently
Stains on comforter, musty smell in bathroom, bugs (fly & beetle), some trash on the floor behind the bathroom door, the outside of the hotel is pretty run down. A/C was ridiculously loud.
Bathrooms had no ventilation making the room and everything in it damp. Had to chase a few bugs. 1 towel & 1 pillow per guest. Priceline showed regular and pet friendly room as same price but Super 8 banged us another $15 for pet friendly at check-in.
Check in was not a good experience. Many of us were tired and wanted to rest but it seems Priceline never sent over my reservations. After a while of trying to figure out what happened, I made a new contract and the price I expected was not honored.
Nothing! We couldn't even stay.
Upon opening the door the room reaked of mold and other strange smells. The bedspread had been washed waded up and thrown on the bed. In the bathroom, there was black mold along the bath tub. There was not one window that opened to let air in.
The morning breakfast was very good and the bathrooms in the room were very clean
Need to pull some of the furniture out and clean behind it, found dirt behind the bed when looking for a plug outlet.
breakfast, laundry on site.
Wifi was out for most of the 2 weeks I stayed there. They wouldn't let me cancel and give a refund because they consider wifi an amenity..
Too close to interstate. Truck traffic all night long.
It was easy to find the hotel from the highway.
The soundproofing could have been better - I could hear the people next door throughout the night.
I stay here everytime I come. You can't beat the place for the price. The place is a little dated but it is clean, comfortable. The workout room is okay, the breakfast is good enough, there are two good restaurants close by. Pet friendly. Some of my coworkers don't like the noise from the Interstate but they moved to another room. I work 12 hours a day when I'm here so all I do is sleep, work in the room and occasionally use the gym. For what I do, I'll stay here everytime.
There was no hot water. The boiler was broken. There was either air conditioning or heat decided by management. My stay was in October and it had already been switched to HEAT. Horrible, horrible. Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night not being able to breath! And much, much more. I would never stay here again!
Nice motel and excellent Desk Manager. We had reservations at a competitor's motel, but half the lights and A/C didn't work and we left with half our money after 30 minutes. The Desk Manager at the nearby Super 8 thought we should have received a full refund so she gave us a room at half the normal rate to help us out. She then entered our information in the computer to update our rewards card which had expired and told us where we could find discount coupons for our next visit. We had a king size room with a comfortable mattress and soft pillows. LCD TV on the wall, refrigerator, microwave and a coffee pot for $*. The staff at the desk and the lady at the breakfast bar were polite and friendly. That was in May 2009. We went back in June 2009, got the $*coupon rate, and had another nice stay. We're going back the last weekend in July 2009 and again in August. I highly recommend the Super 8 in Danville. W. Bennett
I would recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling through or to the Danville area. I was in the area because my husband was transferred to the hospital there. It was so refreshing to see such a beautiful smile from a stranger. Tiffany was very polite and perfessional. I think more hotels need to have a staff like the Super 8. The rooms were clean. My only complaint was that the housekeeping staff needs to dust the head boards more often. I also want to say thank you to the manager, Tammy, because she was very compassionate to my current situation. My husband is thankfully back home but even if we were travelling through Danville to go somewhere else. I would purposely stop at the Super 8.
Excellent staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone was very helpful and kind. Rooms were very clean and beds were great. Excellent service. Excellent coffee at breakfast. Could use some bagles at the breakfast bar. My only complaint would be the cold air coming in under and around the door of our rooms.
Upon check in was greeted by the two young men at the desk, they both were very kind, friendly and helpful. In the morning I was greeted by the Breakfast person. It was a pleasure for me to talk to her because she was also very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay here, Thank you! All people who work here and who you meet ae wonderful!!!!!
