The rooms that we had were clean and spacious. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. If all the Extended Stay Motels are like this one I would highly recommend them.
Not a thing!
kitchen in the room, relatively close to Detroit downtown area.
extremely poor work efficiency of staff. The entire hotel seems to be running by a single or two workers. This means that if you request something (nothing challenging), expect to sit and wait for an hour, or remind them again after waiting for two hours.
The hotel did not have a pool
Staff who checked us in was very nice & welcoming!
paper thin walls; downstairs occupants complained of hearing squeaking when we were sleeping in bed @ 3:00 a.m.; no pool; breakfast was a joke; absolutely no basic amenities (not even a coffee maker or hair dryer); no crib; just bare bones.
Location, Staff, Cleanliness, Affordability
Hard bed, Nearly no amenities
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Clean, spacious room. Updated interior.
Walls are somewhat thin, as I could hear late-night neighbors and hallway noise.
The location and the price.
The breakfast was very light snack.
The location and Tamika.
They didn't have towels when we needed them. They said they would have them when we returned but they didn't. We had to wait longer. The breakfast was not breakfast it was not replenished. Too much loitering.
Location was approximently less than ten minutes from my morning meeting location.
The bed wasn't quite what i expected comfort wise.
It was horrible. The shower was not working. The front desk person was complaining about how tired she was every time we asked for a service. The rooms were not clean and they do not have double-bed rooms
I liked the price -- plus tax for one bedroom king bed
The light cut off for about 15 min in early morning
Front desk personel were kind, helpful and gracious. I love the location and great parking.
Unfortunately the rooms don't have sound barriers because some other guests were noisy which rendered me with 2 sleepless nights. Its good to hear that renovations are under way because the rooms look old and run down. disinfect bathrooms better.
Definitely the location.
It could of been a little cleaner. The carpet had lots of stains.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
It was not a 2 star hotel. It was an extended stay so they never serviced our room over the course of our 4 night stay - they service every 7 days. This was not explained to me before I made the reservation.
old linen, old smelly carpet, broken shower faucet, in bathroom and kitchen has no seat on the lobby
The staff was friendly and helpful
I had hair in my shower and on my sink
excellent location and wonderful staff. Free Wifi is also a major plus.
Hallway carpets are dirty.
convenient for work
did not have daily housekeeping
Good customer service
the staff was very polite and was a great help when needed they provided great customer service
I didn't like anything. The worst hotel i've ever seen.
The staff lied to us. The front door did not work to get in at night. And there was hair all over the room. Room was not cleaned prior to our stay.
I am a loyal customer of extended stay America, but this one was the worse of worse. Dirty floors, old and dingy towels, musty smell, old bedding, non working appliances including elevator, I was not satisfied at all and would like to get refunded my funds
It has an elevator.
The hallway carpets were filthy, the staff member was ignorant who was rude and unprofessional. There was not any staff after 5pm for emergencies. The housekeeping team did not clean with bleach. There were not any icemakers in the building
Sheets were not looking clean. Bed was poorly made. Carpets appeared dirty in the room and the hall way.
I liked that the room had a refrigerator and was located in exactly the area I needed it to be in.
The fridg barely kept things cool even after adjusting control. First morning a knock on the door at 9am, despite a 'do not disturb' sign up, 2 guys wanted to come in to measure the drapes. I almost called 911. Turns out it was legit but I refused access
I didn't find shampoo, moisturizer in the restroom and no vessels in the kitchen and Kitchen sink doesn't look clean
The chicken is good. The place and environment are very good.
There is only one bed in the room.
Location and parking was good
Room need some cleaning work so does the walkways to the rooms, staff has some issue that was corrected by management
I did not stay at this hotel because it was so scary.
cleanliness, staff, public spaces.
good location to shopping mall and airport
the so called free breakfast was disappointing
Inexpensive and good location.
Stayed there a few times. Each time the room was dirty. Stains and human hair in bathroom. Bedding had debris in it. etc.
location and price
I had two times in the middle of the night someone open my door, luckily I had the upper lock on and place the deadbolt after the second time. The front desk stated that they had double booked that room.
Kitchen and TV in the room
Breakfast was a Togo breakfast. Lobby and hallways smelled like smoke heavy smoke. No shampoo lotion conditioner in room.
Great location, close to downtown also close to the mall movies and great restaurants.
just nasty, old and ran down. the elevators were down for our entire stay and our room was on the 3rd fl.
There was no toilet paper in my room, and crumbs on the floor from previous guest. Linens were clean and so was the restroom. The heater kept turning off and I had to restart it in the middle of the night.
I request a late check out of 12 I waited over 10 minutes while the girl was on a personal call, than she had an attitude with me and told me check out was at 11 before even looking up my account. It's a shame it was a nice hotel I will never stay again!
I was misinformed on how to redeem my voucher and had to change hotels
The only thing that I liked was the price.
Lots of things. I stayed there for 2 nights without telephone in my room. The breakfast was not even a breakfast. Just a coffee and a muffin. There was no room cleaning service unless you stay for a week. No shampoo. No hair dryer.
Not very clean, breakfast was not as advertised and staff was too busy making a real estate deal on the phone to look after guests.
Couldn't beat the price! Easy drive to/from The Henry Ford. Staff was really friendly.
Ugh. I've never seen carpets this dirty. As others have mentioned, there's an odd smell. We brought our own sleeping bags and Febreeze.
Made us wait until 3pm before we could check in
Close to the activities that we came to do,
No business center or pool.
Arrived @10:30 wasn't able to check in until 1:00pm
no hot water some days, understaffed, not cleaned, stairwells smelled of smoke, no dishsoap
One of the reasons I book with Extended Stay is so I can have a kitchen. Great to wake up, make coffee, have my cereal, without leaving my room :) When I checked in, I noticed there was just one spoon, one fork, and no creamer for coffee. No biggie, right? I went to the front desk and requested creamer. The clerk said she would work on it and get me some. Next day I asked another clerk. She said they ran out and had no idea when the next order would come in. Maybe I'm just too customer oriented, but I would've informed the manager to send someone around the corner to the grocery store and buy some creamer! Such a little thing, but it just made me more aware of the uncomfortable bed and the pillows that felt like three or four wads of newspaper were stuffed in the cases. The location was great and parking was never a problem.
It was ok. Best thing about the visit was the girl working the desk. She was awesome!!
The hotel was satisfactory. But not what i was led to expect. I googled the internet for a room with a recliner. One of the Extended Stay hotels was said to have recliners. So I called the one in Dearborn and they said there was a recliner in every room. When I got there I found none of the rooms had recliners. This was disappointing because i have back pain and like to spend half the night sleeping in the recliner. Extended Stay is set up to clean your room once a week, only if you stay for a week. If you want fresh towels, you have to pay $*.
I stayed here for a week over the Thanksgiving holiday last year, and will probably do so again this year. The Extended Stay Dearborn is your typical ''traveling salesman'' hotel - forgettable interior decor, no pool, no restaurant - but the rooms are clean and the price is right. The suites each have a kitchenette with microwave, oven/range, refrigerator, and place settings for two, so with a trip quick to the Kroger's about a mile away, you can prepare your own meals. If this feature isn't important to you, then you can probably get a better deal on a different hotel, but if you're staying for more than a day or two it's nice to have the option to cook. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a long-term stay and for whom price is more important than amenities.
