Completely remodeled since my last visit and I was very satisfied and comforfable
Location for the price.
Not enough parking..refrigerator in the room was too noisy.Overall, a nice hotel for the price compared to other hotels in the area for the special event of the race meet. Seemed like the rooms had been upgraded from the last time we stayed there in 2011. Great location. Able to walk to restaurants and just a few blocks to the beach. Would definitely stay there again next year!
Pretty landscaping. Kitchen area in the room. Plenty of closet and drawer space.
Thermostat was controlled by a remote control, which didn't work properly. Motel was listed in priceline as having handicap accessible rooms, but all 4 of these rooms were under renovation. Small, crowded parking lot. Not in walking distance to anything.
Location, staff, public spaces (pool, lounge, etc.)
The shower looked beautiful but you have to step inside to turn it on. I pushed the shower head to the side so that I could get a good temp w/o standing in the water, but the door didn't fully seal so I had to use most of the towels to mop up water after.Overall wonderful. The staff was really lovely and helpful and the grounds were stunning. We stayed here to go to an event in San Diego and it was perfect! Just far enough to not be crowded but only a 20 minute drive. Plus the beach nearby was gorgeous. If the shower was more user friendly I'd give it a 10 hands down. It was just my boyfriend and I but I travel with my sister and her family often; it would be a major pain to get the kids showered.
I liked the location, friendly staff, remodeled room & bathroom, and the delicious reasonably-priced breakfast.I would stay in this hotel again, especially at the Priceline price.
The hotel is very nice looking from the outside. Reception is nicely decorated, it has free parking and is only a short walk along to bars and restaurants.
The rooms are quite dated and could do with being upgraded. The decor in the rooms was not in keeping with the more modern looking reception area. This hotel is good for the amount of stars it has. Free parking is good, the onsite bistro was nice and the reception area and staff were very nice. The rooms, however, were dated. The decor was in need of an upgrade, however, they did have large plasma televisions in the rooms which was a plus. The 'ocean view' room was just a view of the car park and a building with a little bit of the ocean behind it but that is not a problem to us. Location was good for the amount of money the hotel costs, about a 10 minute walk along to 15th street. Overall this was a nice little hotel but perhaps a little overpriced when you look at the decor in the ro...
The hotel was under construction, which I was not made aware of, the shower pressure was sub par, and I'm convinced that there were bed bugs
Clean but cozy room with comfortable bed and updated bath.
Thought it came with complementary breakfast, was wrong.Very good value for the price in quality area. Would stay there again.
The room was gorgeous the bathroom impressed me
The view was not that great I wish i would have known i would be overlooking a Parking lot with the sea in the distance
The front desk manager, Mike, was so great when we checked in. They had better rooms available and upgraded me for free. The room had an ocean view and recently remodeled bathroom. The king bed mattress was great. Microwave and refrigerator were nice.
The one thing I would suggest is a note that the hotel only has two portable cribs. That's something you need to know if you're traveling with a small child. The updated rooms are very nice and the rates are reasonable. The staff were all very helpful and kind. They just opened a little cafe with a small menu of salads, sandwiches, chicken wings, burgers, etc. It will soon have beer and wine as well. The quality was great for the price- I was pleasantly surprised. It has a small hotel/bed and breakfast feel in the lobby and hallways, but nicely updated rooms with the feel of fancier hotel. My two-year-old and I had a lovely week-long stay. It was better than more expensive chain hotels just down the r...
