location of hotel was good
it was not easy to get to my room, the clerk failed to say anything about them painting and I had to park my car almost 3 building or on the opposite side of the building in order not to get paint spattered on my car.
no shower curtain. room was generally in poor condition. They required a $100 deposit, even if you used a credit card, and in the morning did not have the cash in the office to refund their guests as they were checking out. Really!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though we arrived early they helped us get into our room. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others who are visiting Durham.
location is close to duke. immediate area has harris teeter with a starbucks inside, brueggers bagels, cvs and chinese take away.
it is an extended stay which has its positives and negatives. this chain cannot seem to get to better than average on how it operates their locations.
Just the young man that checked us in.
We were to get a non smoking room but it was full of smoke smell. All our clothes ended up smelling like smoke. The exterior of the hotel was dirty. The breakfast was just a joke. Very unhappy with our stay!
Close to local areas.
Dirty, needs major renovation, should be a 1 star.
The Staff at the lobby was very friendly.
I had to change room because the AC in the first room didn't work; there is no shower curtain in the first room either.
Not very organized
The staff is incredible and they work very hard
The rooms are in disrepair and my room 204 was in very bad shape. I stayed here for more than one week and I hope they get these rooms upgraded as the location and staff are worth it once they do.
I booked my room well in advance and sent an email to the hotel that we were seniors and were there to see doctors at Duke the next day, we preferred to be on the bottom floor and I would pay extra to get two beds instead of one. Never got either.
The comfort and quietness of the hotel. I haven't slept that good in months!
The grab and go breakfast did not offer any juice.
Rudest front desk clerk EVER. A
This hotel had bed bugs I got bit on my legs a several dozen times in only one night I hope i never have to stay there again this the second extended stay in Durham that had bed bugs the one on tower blv has bed bugs too.... and their free breakfast sucks
When i got there i was told that there was no rooms available. After waiting about 40 mins I was rented a room that was on the do not rent list because of toilet maintnenance issues
I like the Staff and the location of the hotel.
The rooms were clean but, there were bugs on the floor and bed bugs.
Location that's it
Had to switch rooms 3 times
I liked the kitchenette best about this hotel.
The bathroom was not very clean. There were hairs from the previous guest everywhere.
There's a lot going on with this hotel. Air wasn't working properly. Had to switch rooms 3 times
dirty sheets, bugs, weed smell STRONG, felt unsafe due to lingering crounds at night in dark areas
The fact that it was a motel and the entry to room was on the ground level.
I got bitten by something in my legs
customer service poor poor
clean, quiet, safe
The mattress was very comfortable. the kitchenette was useful. The heat and air was controlled by a digital programable thermostat and worked excellently - better than at home! The laundry room is reasonably priced and does a pretty good job.
The lack of basic cleanliness was a disappointment. Most of the staff were helpful, and polite ,there were a small few who were not. The tub could use a curved curtain rod.
The front desk was friendly and the room was clean.
The bed wasn't particularly comfortable.
no tissues, soap, shampoo
Receptionist was never at the front desk. We have waited 30 min. to find him so we could check in. Internet password that he gave it to us was wrong. I couldn't work. Windows had no screen we couldn't open the window.
It was a ok price
Hotel wasn't clean. It took a hour and 1/2 to find. Reception didn't know how to get there
The hotel because of the way of the people at the front desk.
It was cheap and right near the highway.
The night staff was MIA for ten fifteen minutes when we got there and we didn't know what to do. They seemed super I different and aloof toward us.
Price and free WiFi
Friendly staff, location
Opened occupied room and had to get new room. Hair on towel,
1st floor non-smoking room
We had to ask for the things that should have already been in the room, coffeemaker, coffee, coffee cups, glasses etc.
The room overall
things i asked for and didn't never get them
I loved the location and that the people at the front desk was somewhat respectful
The pots where not in the room and when I gotMy potpotatoes they were dirty the refrigerator door would not close so some of my food spoiled
The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful! We were relocating to the area, and several of the front desk staff took time to suggest areas in the city to consider.
The breakfast was ok, just coffee, hot chocolate packets, muffins, fruit, and packets of oatmeal or grits. Sometimes they were out of muffins.
Not clean and the locatiom left something to b desired. The mgr did changed rooms but I did move to another hotel after my stay!
The staff was ok. and location need the interstate.
very little space, wifi didn't work,, tv is way out of date. the shower drain was clogging up. I wasn't impress at all. I wouldn't recommed this motel to anyone.
Only that it was relatively inexpensive.
The smoking room we were initially put in, the hair on our towels, the general filthiness of the room. Wasn't a huge fan of all the smokers outside our door either.
I like the room set up.
There was a lot of noise from surrounding guests. And for the morning staff.
The location is great. Duke and UNC Chapel Hill are both easily accessible
The room was not clean. Although it was a non-smoking room, it smelled like cigarette. The towels did not look clean.
It was a place to sleep, that's all! And good luck sleeping on a crappy bed and non-insulated room that you hear all the noise outside on a busy street
The guy checking us in didn't even say hello, not friendly. Room came with 1 double bed, not king. $10 extra for 'upgrade'! The lock on front door was almost apart. The sink faucet leaked. Needed 2 forks, front desk guy had to search for them! Awful!!
Location and price
Run down. Dirty rooms. Smoking had been done in a non smoking room and no others available. Very poor breakfast.
The room was spacious(king)
The type of guest staying at the hotel appeared to be questionable relative to their character and physical appearence. This gave me a feeling of concern for my safety.
The employees were helpful. It was only one night.
Hallways filthy. First room had a smoke detector that wouldn't stop beeping. Second room a/c was broken and didn't run. Third room was an upgrade, which was a bigger room. However, the bathtub was mildew-y, there was no soap, towels, hair dryer, etc.
