Taking its name from the prominent windowed gables along its front, the Five Gables Inn sits on a sloping lawn overlooking Linekin Bay and East Boothbay, a quiet ship building village. Once a twenty two room, three bath hotel, the stately structure underwent a tasteful remodel that reduced the rooms to sixteen all with private baths. Five have working fireplaces. Furnishings are traditional with uncluttered country details. A gourmet buffet breakfast is prepared by the Culinary Institute trained owner/chef.
