Worst hotel ever, it smelled like band-aids, the pool looked yellow, there was a pieceof the gutter in the stairwell, the Rodeway sign was leaning against the hotel, the towels were damp and the door jam was broken. We slept with our clothes on.
close to the area we needed to be. alot of place to shop and explore to.
the hotel staff wasn't very friendly at all. our keys got deactivated and when went back down to the desk the guy acted like we hadn't paid for 2 nights. declined housekeeping but they went into the room anyways i was upset about that.
They allowed my small dog to stay in the room. Breakfast was nice. Manager was attentive to guests needs.
Did not offer a hot tub. Pillows were merely a distorted bag of rags shoved into a pillow case. No defined shape what so ever. The afternoon desk clerk allows her 9 year old daughter to have run of the place including the swimming pool. Kid kept spitting.
Wi-fi did not work properly
Not a fancy, super up-to-date hotel but pool and area around pool were good sized. Beds were comfortable. If you're high maintenance, not for you. But for a regular person just needing a place to sleep with (or without) teenagers, it's fine.
Kinda hot in the pool area.
Absolutely nothing about this place did I like!
I booked for 2 nights, after the first night I packed up my son and left. Towels all looked dirty, had spots on them, the sheets on the bed were nasty with black stains on them. The room smelled horrible, one of the pillows smelled highly of vomit. YUCK!!
This hotel has everything you need for the price. The rooms are very spacey and the location is great. Had a great experience here compared to a few other cheaper places I have been at in Eau Claire and I am definitely coming back again.
Wifi was experiencing problems but not a deal breaker for me.
Reasonable price for quick visit.
Pillows were flat. Sink didn't drain well.
It's what you expect when you're not expecting anything from a 1 star property.
The room is the very definition of 1970s OLD.
Nice pool area with games
No hot tub
Could not close the curtains.Had to get up on a chair to slide close. Room had an odd smell. No hand rail in bathroom just 2 holes where one used to be. Paint peeling off walls everywhere. Very run down. Also no password wireless which means no security.
Location is great, right near the university and lots of great places to eat.
Bed had tortilla chip crumbs on it and a sheet was stained. Bathroom fan was missing grille. Drapes didn't close completely. All in all not unexpected for the star level and price.
The rooms were nice size and loved the 2 bathroom vanity's.
BED BUGS! We found beg bugs under the mattress and on the floor, which were crawling on our bags.
I liked the location of the hotel, it was close to various restaurants and shops. I also liked the open pool and free breakfast.
The lady at the front desk wasn't the friendliest person. The room was dark, somewhat dirty and had no windows. The sheets were stained in many places. My friend got a few bed bug bites overnight which I find to be disgusting. Work on cleanliness please!
The free in-room Wifi - was horrible to connect to and keep a signal and the pool was cold. Overall, the facility was somewhat outdated.
Staff was friendly and breakfast was decent.
The room they gave us only had one window facing an indoor pool. (Room 200) It had poor ventilation and smelled horrible. It was clean enough, but the bedding had some moderate damage and the couch was sagging in the middle big time.
room was spacious
front desk couldnt make change for vending machine vending machine was pretty empty
Nothing to write home about. For the price, the hotel is what it is.a cheap place to sleep. That's about it. If all you need is a bed and a shower.good enough.
Power outlets suck. Most did not work. The only way I could charge my phone was to unplug the lamp power cord from the limited working outlets.
Room size was okay.
Website states hot tub. False. Tub was not clean
Below average hotel. Nothing special about this hotel stands out as a 'like'.
Outdated, cramped, door to our room had a clear gap to see into hallway - it locked securely, just not a tight fitting door. Bathtub was a bit moldy looking but seemed clean. No elevator. I don't mind taking stairs but our bags were heavy.
Front desk service was the best she was very friendly and welcoming, price was what hotels should be at
It had a room when others were full. The room was large.
Not clean. Terrible pillows. Basically a dive.
Something in the room set my asthma/allergies to go wild. I called the desk and they said that they do not spray anything in the room. I personally don't believe that.
The price location to what we were doing in eau Claire and spacious rooms.
Fridge wasn't cleaned out-stuff in it floors not vacuumed missing heat lamp bulb in bathroom was under sink no drain cover in bat tub little black hairs all over in bath tub and the light bulb socket in the lamp was tipped over and hanging there. Dated.
It was very clean and the people at the counter were very friendly.
There were no facial tissues in the room.
The room was large, comfortable, and reasonably quiet. Reasonable for the price paid.
The furnishings are definitely out of date - there is a lot of room for improvement. When we checked in, we found that the room had only one small lamp for lighting; management quickly resolved the issue when we mentioned it to the front desk.
Staff was very accommodating
Everything satisfied my expectations for the price range
Very helpful staff
Dated, but expected this for the money.
Easy access, clean, nice accommodations for the money. I liked the room size and the pool area was a lot of fun for my family.
The pool area was very nice for a one star hotel.
It was dated, but that's fine. I don't really care about that.
Stayed overnight, hotel was clean, staff was very helpful. It was a little outdated, but could tell they were in the process of trying to update. It did not have a hot tub, but the pool was great!! Had a nice selection at the the breakfast of cereal, muffins, bagel, toast, fruit and yogurt. I felt for the price you pay it was a good deal. Still wish the owners would get a hot tub though!!
First of all, when I checked in, here was no need at the desk. Then they did not ask for my ID or the plate numbers on our cars. There were a lot of people hanging around the cars and burning rubber from the tires.
I was very surprised by the room size, I was expecting an average sized room but my room was way bigger, the second sink and mirror were an excellent thing to have.
The continental breakfast ended earlier then I hoped.
Great location. Access to stores, and shopping.
Saw a roach. Asked to change rooms, and was denied. And they told us that we can ask priceline for compensation, cause they couldn't help us. In any way.
The pool area was large and had a pool table which my boys enjoyed.
The hotel was a bit dated and the furniture was a bit old and showed wear.
The room was filthy old and broken. Will not stay with that chain again.
Same as above
We requested a different room as the smoke smell was so bad. Supposedly people stood out on a landing outside the room's sliding glass doors to smoke. I think they should get away from the building. The room also had needed repairs and adjustments to be done. I couldn't stand another day in that room so requested another room only after we would inspect it. Another room also had smoke smell, denied it and FINALLY we found a room that was remodeled and it was pleasant . The noise level was not bothersome and the staff really bent over backwards to accommodate us. I still think that the smoking law should be strongly enforced.
This hotel was cheap...I willl pay more next time. Very dated, lumpy floors, lumpy pillows, looked like it had not been updated in 30-40 years. Will never stay here again.
Not only did we get a great deal on the room, but the hotel was easy to find. The rooms were spacious, clean and well laid out. Check-in was a breeze thanks to our printout from web and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Centrally located so getting to places around town was easy, and the man at the front desk was very helpful in giving us directions to places we wanted to visit. The pool area was well maintined, although we were a bit disappointed that the advertised hot tub was not there at all. Aside from the advertised-but-absent hot tub, we were very satisfied.
