The hotel was very old and in need of refurbishing. Definitely not a 2.5 star property!
Not far off the toll road
There was stuff all over the carpet by the door and in front of the sink. I wanted to go ask for a vacuum. But I put a towel over it. I already had to exchange the iron because it was spitting black crud on the white shirt I was ironing.
could barely reach shower head ,wife couldn't reach it at all
Recently renovated very nice
The receptionist was super nice and informative.
The tiles in the bathroom had writing on them, the carpet had stains (dark), and it smelled like they had just varnished everything made of wood.
The staff was great, good choices for continental breakfast
Kept having difficulties using my entry card. Could not connect to WIFI. I would suggest they keep it locked and give guest's the password. Room could have been cleaner.
Was a nice hotel, clean, reasonable price, and friendly staff.
Good price and hotel was clean, breakfast was good, no complaints at all.
Fridge included , clean, good hot breakfast. Fan in the bathroom.
Bathroom door was dirty (blood?). Missed fruits in breakfast. Mattress could be more comfortable.
Window opens(a few inches), comfortable room. Adequate breakfast.
Small room. Sharp raised edge on shower, bathroom floor slippery.
Breakfast was great
Bathroom didn't have hot water. Also bathroom door was not in place right and door wouldn't shut.
The housekeepers were very attentive and cleaned our room thoroughly everyday.
There continental breakfast they served was very disgusting! The whole hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and the woman in the front desk was very rude and she acted very preoccupied. The walls are thin and we heard everything our neighbor was doing!
Room cleaned everyday..hot breakfast and microwave with refridge in room
carpet were spotty and dirty in hallways and there was only one washer and dryer
the price and the breakfast
Price was reasonable
Beds were small (Full as opposed to Queen) for two beds in a room.
Definitely not a 21/2 star. Old and not very clean. Based on my experience probably would not stay at a Quality Inn.
Breakfast was decent.
Wall paper falling down off the walls, cigarette butt under back of toliet. Cigarette burns all over bath tub.
The front desk staff was great & very attentive .
I saw black stuff in the mattress. I called the front desk . Came up right away to check my room . Maintanance came up with flashlight He found no bed bugs. Next day itching little black pepper things on my skin . Mites or scabies off to pharmacy .
Dirty and dingy. 2.5 rating should be 1.5 at best.
The price was great.
Pillows were tiny and flat, buttons on the alarm clock were gunked up or something and we couldn't set the alarm. Not enough accessible outlets.
The price was right, easy to find, breakfast was good
the carpet was a little outdate, but not ripped up or filthy
The room was very comfortable and the location to the interstate and downtown Elgin was convenient.
The hotel was being refurbished, so disturbing smells and sounds permeated throughout my stay. Also, the shower water was only warm even after turning the knob all the way.
All of the staff was very friendly and helpful.
The WIFI was not working and the 'public use' computer was slow. I was unable to complete any work needed during my stay.
This did not feel like the star level was appropriate.
The breakfast was great.
The room had horrible orders.
It was convenient. The young lady in the front lobby during check-in (Barb)was first class helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was mediocre. The hotel should not allow smoking. It could use a big remodel. It is not a 2.5 star hotel in the same vein that a Country Inn and Suites would be. It should be a good 2 star.
The hotel was moldy, smoky, and I can not stay in a hotel like this. This is a health hazard. We asked to change rooms and they said they were full. Food was mediocre (although free).
Room smelled, pen cap was sitting on chair leaving impression that room wasn't thoroughly cleaned, pillows looked 'smashed' with very wrinkled pillow cases--didn't look neatly made up.
Location and rate
put in smoking room that was very , very smoky only thing that did not have a strong smoke odor was the bedding and towels Fire alarm went off at 5:15 am, false alarm.
The breakfast was good quality, with belgian waffles and real butter, yogurt, cream cheese, and milk. They also prepared free popcorn in the afternoon in a Waring popcorn maker.
When I renewed the room, they moved me to a smoking room that was not as good as the one I previously occupied.
I did not stay,as the room was terrible. I took pictures of room, had holes in the lampshades, holes in bedspread, terrible soiled furniture, graffiti on wall with names on it, air conditioner and had novent cover and was filthy not comfortable to stay l
I was not staying after looking at room was very dirty no amenities just horrible
