Staff were the key. Clean, friendly and extremly helpful. Had a transportation glich and the staff went above and beyond to resolve making the weekend and absolute success. Public spaces were nice and the room nicely appointed and extremly quiet!!
The closeness to a freeway resulted in outdoor noise, but honestly the inside was so nice we stayed in and relaxed once our in city event was compleated.
Very convenient location. Across from shopping areas, and 1 block from Trader Joes.
lots of plugs
no slippers. no microwave. no room service even though there's a restaurant in the lobby.
The personalized touches, such as the USB ports for phone charging and late check in.
The room was entered and was being cleaned prior to my checkout.
Great location, wonderful staff
The price increase
The room was well appointed and spacious
Unfortunately, the bed was not very comfortable.
I liked that it was so close to shopping, restaurants and the water.
Quiet, bed very comfortable, maid service excellent, clean
No refrigerator or microwaveCoffee maker in room is a joke, only one serving of coffee provided next to coffee makerDaily parking fee for which I was not aware I had to pay
Location good. I stayed here years ago and was a wonderful stay. I searched particularly for this hotel..sadly this stay was very disappointing
Repeatedly asked for soap. Surprised by having to pay for parking and advertised as having a fridge yet none in room. When i asked for one they brought one with someone elses food inside as well as so scratched and dented that it was disgusting.
Close to the freeway and clean room.
Additional 9 dollars to park your car that is not mentioned anywhere in the listing and you have to be out of their parking lot by check out.
Clean & quiet with lots of shopping & restaurants within walking distance. Great views from upper floors
very quiet given how close to freeway. good free internet. Comfortable bed.
Paying for parking ... but did now upfront that this was going to be true.
Veey comfortable bed. Room facing the bay.
Rust spots in tub.
Close to freeway, good parking
Great location. Room is quiet even though it oversees highway 580.Convenient vending machine.
Good location.Quiet. Clean.
Furnishings were sparce and no pictures on the wall. Colors were monotonous. Bedding and towels were of low quality
The check in staff was not helpful at all. There was no hotel information in the rooms. I couldn't find what time check out was anywhere. They give the smallest bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Overall the staff needs some customer service training.
The itchy sheets Rooms not really clean No coca cola
Convenient location and nice hotel staff
Spa was cold and dirty Room was like motel 6 Bed was hard Food. Was SO so
Lovely, large rooms, very friendly staff. The rooms are wel set up. I have no complaints about the hotel, just the parking.
Upon check-in, I was told there would be a $9.00 per day parking fee. I looked over my paperwork and it does not mention this in the hotel description. I was very annoyed with this.
cleanliness, overall quality of hotel.
I requested a room with two double beds upon check in and was initially denied. After spending 10 minutes talking to a supervisor she finally agreed to give me 2 doubles. The hotel was not sold out and I pointed out that when I book direct with Marriott
The location is great; easy freeway access.
The desk clerk put me in a room that already had a guest in it. It was disturbing as I was concerned it could happen to the new room I was in. The clerk wasn't very apologetic, didn't give me back the parking key and it took a lot of time.
I requested late check in and was told my room would be held when I arrived there was only one room left, and I was given a handicapped room. not quite what I had expected
Location was fairly convenient
The picture on the website did not match with what I received. Even the description did not match and hotel staff said that no such room ever existed and that Priceline was responsible for false advertsing. I would not have booked if I knew this.
The location was good for us and the area nice with fun things to do and easy access to the Bay Area. The room was good and we enjoyed the view of the water.
I was very disappointed in the service from the personal at the counter. We paid through Priceline, but the clerk deleted our payment and the hotel charged us, so we would have paid twice if I hadn't looked at my credit card bill carefully.
view of the bay
not enough towels in the room we had to keep asking for more. Two towels is just not enough.
we have stayed here many times before and love the location. proximal to all we do in the bay area.
why is it that suddenly marriott doesn't do ANY type of upgrading when you are a priceline customer? makes NO sense. i was willing to pay for a set of double beds as i travel with my young son. not cool, marriott. not cool.
location to food, shops, etc
prom night and a lot of midnight noise from the prom kids in the hotel
Nothing. The room was average compared to any other place I have stayed before.
Upon arrival the clerk told me there were no rooms at first.Once in my room after about an hour or so another strange man who had just checked in entered my room. They gave him my room & overcharged my credit card.I'm still trying to clear it up.
The staff was very nice.
The room smelled moldy. There was another guest who yelled and screamed all night. Hotel doesn't offer shuttle to airport or Amtrak.
The location was great.
My room was substandard. The carpet was stained. Nothing on the room looked fresh. It also had a smell to it that was just old and used. I will say the staff was great. I asked for a different room and they were accommodating. I won't stay there again.
I was pleasantly surprised by how very nice the hotel was...from start..check in to finish. The location is great...the room was so spacious and the bed...as comfortable as they get. Great decor and staff too.
We stayed here prior to taking Amtrak in the morning. It was not walking distance to the station but the Hertz dropoff in the hotel was quick and easy and a cab to the station with help from the front desk cost $10 and 5 minutes. Only complaint was that the bed, which initially felt blissfully soft, turned out to be so soft that sleeping with two of us created a black hole in the middle that tried to suck you in and left me with horrible back pain in the morning. Next time I'll make the kid sleep with me instead of the wife. Everything else was very nice.
Pleasant hotel, very good location near shopping, highways. Internet available in lobby with printers, but no wireless available in rooms or lobby.
WE LOVED THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF THE VIEW & RIGHT NEXT TO A GREAT SHOPPING AREA! YOU COULD EASILY WALK ACROSS THE STREET & START SHOPPING OR EATING AT GREAT STORES OR RESTAURANTS. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN, SPACIOUS, & COMFORTABLE FOR 4 PEOPLE. IT WAS EASY ACCESS TO THE INTERSTATE FOR GETTING TO THE AIRPORT IN SF. WE FELT SAFE FOR PARKING AS IT HAD A KEY FOR ENTERING & EXITING. THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME VISITING SF & DIDN'T GET TO SEE EVERYTHING WANTED TO SO WE DEFINATELY WANT TO COME BACK & VISIT MY COUSIN & SEE MORE OF THE BEAUTIFUL CITY! WE WOULD FOR SURE STAY IN THE HOTEL AGAIN IF WE CHOSE THIS AREA AGAIN.
They charge $9.00 for parking. Rooms are nice, clean, VERY QUIET. I have stayed there several times. Very accommodating, great location, comfortable.
The cleanliness and efficient service makes this a perfect choice for the area. I thought the breakfast was good in quality and convenience.
I saw the story on the news the night before but never though it would happen to me. This morning i found that this hotel is apart of the dirty hotel chain that we have seen most publicized lately. I awoke to make coffee in the room this morning only to find used dirty coffee mugs. the mug was turn upside down and placed on the same coaster asd the previous day. It had the ring from the coffee made the previous day. they do not replace or clean the mugs in the rooms. It makes me question their clenliness all together, we were suppose to have breakfast at the hotel that morning and i opted to go to a nearby restaurant. I would not eat anything from this hotel anymore. I went and purchased cleaning supplies to clean my room for my last night of stay an i am definately making sure we no longer stay there for future business travel. If your company has choices I would choose another place to stay.\n
Family of four - parents, teen and young adult. Our room was spacious, handicap accessible. There were two queen beds and a fold out couch. The room was clean and comfortable, fluffy blankets and pillows. Parking is ample and free. Access to dining/entertainment area is wonderful, just a walk cross the street for a great outdoor mall experience, movie theatre, restaurants.... Though we had a little trouble with a missing sofabed mattress in the room, help was quick. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast...delicious made to order omelets plus the typical breakfast buffet fare. Hostess and kitchen staff in the breakfast room were warm, hospitable and very attentive. We often use Emeryville as a pit stop on a long drive from Southern to Northern Cal and have stayed at the Courtyard twice now for overnight stays when we're meeting a family member who flies into Oakland Airport. We would stay again, but not if it were an extended visit...if you're thinking about staying here to have access to SF, you can find something of comparable value in the City and closer to all the hot spots. This hotel is great for business travellers or short/quick stays.
