The indoor pool being closed for the season. If we would of known the pool was closed we more than likely would not of chosen to say at this hotel. There was trash left on balcony. That we had to take out.
Comfortable bed, large flat screen tv, free breakfast buffet, friendly staff and clean room!
Staff was very friendly. The common areas looked cleaned. The room when I first arrived was very clean and smelled good.
1st morning was great plenty of coffee and creamer in room. Second morning only one pack of regular coffee less creamer than the first morning.3rd morning it looked as though they did not even clean the bathroom. They didn't clean the bathroom or coffeethey didn't clean out the coffee or give any creamer on the 3rd morning and the bathroom wasn't cleaned. So first cpl days were great last morning I was not happy with dirty coffee pot no reg coffee to perk and no creamer.
Breakfast was good
Price for star level was not goodOld hard to find
Nice lobby and public space
Lobby was nice but once the elevator door open to our floor it was all down hill. Strange smell, garbage in hallway and random couch and chair in hallway.... I felt like I was at a collage dorm. Room needed pain and bathroom needed updated.
The only positive for the Ramada (on Peoria) was a nice breakfast buffet ... numerous choices ... acceptable quality.
Hotel is old ... thin walls ... had two double beds in the room instead of a single Queen or King bed ... bathroom was old ... plumbing was marginal ... old 'popcorn' ceilings ... no microwave or refrig ... only positive a flat screen LED/LCD TV.Would rate this hotel a 1 star ... maybe a 1 & 1/2 star. It is definitely not a 2 or (as Priceline claims) a 2 & 1/2 star hotel. The hotel is older ... and while adequately maintained ... is also lacking. Room furniture was heavily marred and bruised ... noise carried between rooms ... walls had a few areas of 'spot painting' where the color didn't match the original color. The stool was super low ... and you had to flush twice or three times to clear it. The sink vanity had an old bottle cap opener and a place to dispose of old single blade razor blades ... typical of 40 years ago. ...
Room, Guest accouterments, breakfast.
For the price and star rating, not really.hope to stay there again.
The staff works with you if unexpected extensions of your stay come up.
The breakfast was decent and hot. Beds were comfortable.
The pool was closed for the season, one of the reasons we picked this hotel. There was not a smoke detector in our room which was in a drawer and the wires were hanging out. When we told the front deal they said they would let maintenance know. The placard for the door was missing so room number was written in black marker on wall.
