The Essex Inn on the Adirondack Coast has undergone a total renovation that has transformed this nearly 200-year old landmark into the crown jewel of the Lake Champlain region. In the spring of 2011, the Inn’s seven beautifully refurbished rooms – five of which are suites – will begin welcoming guests.
Opening in the early spring, William Gilliland’s Tavern – designed & handcrafted by talented Adirondack artisans – will offer fireside dining, as will the adjoining room, while the garden patio and front porch will provide additional seating in the summer and shoulder seasons.
Two private dining rooms – one, just off the Main Street entrance , the other, a charming board room framed by a 19th Century Dutch fireplace -- both offer a special setting for rehearsal dinners and corporate retreats. Think Essex Inn for romantic getaways, weddings, board meetings, holiday parties, family reunions or just a memorable dining experience.
Additional accommodations are available across the street at the Yellow Store Annex where three bedrooms, bath, large living, kitchen, dining area and lakeside deck – all fully equipped and beautifully appointed in rustic design -- overlook Essex Harbor.
