The location was good.
I had the MOST terrible experience EVER. The hotel was locked at check in and they put my PERSONAL information outside in an envelope. I never signed for the room, my ID was never checked, I will NEVER use Priceline again because of this. The number one rule of hospitality is protecting the guest and their information. You cannot even disclose a room number to another person or even family member without permission of the guest, drivers license, or proof of room information. After booking on Priceline I received an email that said check-in was at 4:00pm, and that the office hours were between 8:00am and 8:00pm. I arrived at 3:45 on 12/29 to find that the door to the lobby was locked- which seemed odd as it was between the office hours and right before check in. I looked on the door to find a note saying 'late check ins see mailbox'. And sure enough in an unlocked box there was an envelope with my name on it. Inside had my PER...
The staff is very friendly!
Priceline's 'deal' was more expensive than a price Hotel Estes can offer on the spot.Nice hotel with friendly staff and a good price.
The window was right on the sidewalk - everyone who walked by looked right into our room. There was not nearly enough seating for the breakfast. Not worth the price we had to pay
Everything was right there for you. I enjoyed the porch and swimming pool. The staff were very nice and helpful. They gave complimentary bottles of water and coffee as well as snacks.
There were a couple of beetles that had popped out of the wall throughout the day/night.Wonderful place, very calm and family oriented. Staff was great! really enjoyed being there. We stayed here for a wedding and the others stayed at a more expensive hotel. I would have to say that Hotel Estes was way better.
Loved that the staff went out of their way to recommend activities, restaurants, shops when asked. Also, the outdoor pool was a plus. (The time we were there, it was 97 degrees in Estes!
Our room was not cleaned the first day we stayed until around 4:00. We were just coming in from the pool, so asked them just to leave clean towels because we were wanting to take showers! This is a great family hotel - rooms were spacious, pool was great. Nice continental breakfast in the morning, and Free Bottles of Water anytime! This was particularly appreciated when heading off for a 3 1/2 mile hike at 7:00 a.m. Staff was great and it was on the main street into Estes. I could even see the mountains while taking a shower!
Very clean, nicely updated, clean pool
Wished the blinds were able to tilt open to let in light without opening the whole window covering.I would recommend this hotel for families or couples. It was quiet even though the hotel was full. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again. It wasn't fancy but it was pleasant and clean.
The rooms were very clean.
The garbage in the dumpsters that were right at the bottom of the stairs were overflowing. Old furniture from the updating was laying around outside. We had to call for a plunger and then had to call back since maintenance never came. Not worth the price, next year we will be making our reservations earlier to get a better hotel for the same price.
Nice breakfast, clean room.
Assigned to second floor even after asking for first floor.... vacant sign was on and there were two vacant rooms on the main floor. We specifically asked for a main floor room.Clean, nice breakfast but bathrooms extremely small. When we arrived late (10:10pm), envelope with our key and name was hung on door to office. Office closed at ten. When we called to say we were late, no one said the office closed at ten. No internet pw provided in check in materials. We had to ask neighbors for it. No one even answered phone calls after ten. Ok place to stay in beautiful area, but not a three star hotel and absolutely not three star service.
Window coverings were either black out or wide open so that no daylight could get in without public able to see in
