Pros:It was so new! Everything was pleasant from check in to check out. Bed was super comfy, and a choice of firm or soft pillows?? That was great. Price was decent for what we got also.
Cons:The biggest thing was it was super slick on their sidewalks. My husband didn’t see the frozen puddle and almost fell! I was thinking ‘how are they not getting sued?’ Breakfast was mostly good, out of coffee in the main room but I managed to see the additional pots on the way out. Also no cookies left at night when I checked in but hey I try not complain.
Pros:Very nice and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Great shower. Plenty of parking. Pet friendly.
Pros:Very close to the airport. Hotel offers courtesy shuttle. If you reach after hours, you can take a YellowCab or Eagle Cab and hotel will cover the charge. Breakfast selection was decent, not great. Scrambled eggs, waffle maker, pastries, biscuit and gravy and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Cons:Hotel is under renovation. Rooms in the first floor still have strong paint smell and noise from renovation in the second floor. Rooms with stove feel small as all the rooms are of the same size and the stove/counter takes up a lot of space. We switched from a room with stove to one without, which felt a little bigger. Staff could have been more knowledgeable. We went mainly to see the Aurora Borealis. The staff didn't have any good suggestions for good spots around the town where visibility would be good. Also, we asked about dog sledding and they couldn't recommend any place either. Having suggestions on local attractions would be helpful. Breakfast selection can be better.
Cons:was not told of remodel in progress. found partial marijuana joint on bathroom sink. will never stay in a La Quinta suits again.
Pros:It was clean & the staff was excellent.
Cons:Restaurant was only open for dinner and only 4 nights a week. Had to take cab else where or order in. Booked there thinking could eat all meals there. The room was hot and were not suppose to open windows. No way to cool room off.
Pros:I was staying here because of proximity to airport for early morning departure. The staff was helpful and accommodating. When I needed a ride (shuttle was included) and the shuttle was not yet running because of early hour, they provided a voucher to cover cab costs. Also had breakfast available early so I could grab a bite. The room was clean, efficient, bedding very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it. They also had the hotel decorated with some interesting old Fairbanks/Alaska photographs that were actually worth a walk around to see.
Cons:Because of winter hours (dead of winter, I might add), there was no food service or gift shop service available on Mondays or Tuesdays, so I had no other option for meals beyond ordering in by phone. They did provide coffee and hot water, in addition to in-room coffee making facilities and a microwave for reheating. Even with this, I'd still stay here again.
