The location, the ease of parking, and the very nice host.
Nope, it was perfect, but I wouldn't stay here for several days in a row. It's a great weekend spot. There are 10 nice, standard hotel rooms all with parking spots in front of the rooms. There is a restaurant a block away with all meals, so that's convenient too. It's a mile from Ski Liberty, which is awesome, and it's pretty affordable.
This hotel has lots of charm. My wife said that 'Quaint' is the word that best describes it. She liked the room decor. Parking is right in front of your door. Picnic tables, benches, flower pots, and other outside decorations enhance one's stay.
The hotel is not new, but the owners do an excellent job of keeping it up.Excellent room for the price. Nearby the Gettysburg Battlefield and Emmitsburg, MD. We would definitely stay there again.
Internet was very slowIt was a good room for an overnight. Not much to offer for. Extended stays.
Room too far from WiFi booster - Had to sit outside to use internet.Small family owned motel. Owners very helpful and accommodating. Gorgeous setting. Quiet.
The family running the hotel are kind and friendly who worked to make sure my stay was pleasant. The place is great, small town country feel to it. Clean and easy to get in and out of. The staff are friendly and the location is convenient to Gettysburg and nearby Waynesboro. I visited Carbaugh Run natural area just to the Northwest of town, it is well worth the visit if you have the time and enjoy hiking, mountain biking, or snowmobiling. This hotel is also convenient to the Liberty Mountain ski resort.
The grassy, park-like area adjacent to the parking lot. This hotel is close to everything in Gettysburg, and you can't beat the rates! Our room was clean, and came with a microwave and hair dryer. It is a jewel of a place-sort of tucked away, yet convenient. There is a small but wonderful Mom & Pop-type of restaurant next door-perfect for breakfast or inexpensive meals. Not fancy, but good food, friendly staff, and decent prices. We traveled with 2 other families and all stayed here. The hotel has a nice relaxing grassy area-similar to a park. It is small, but nice for relaxing, big enough for little children to run around a bit..but with supervision. Make reservations early, as there are limited rooms. We especially enjoyed the Rupp House Museum in Gettysburg. It has free admission, and is a hands-on experience with well-informed volunteers. The house is full of beautiful, authentic replicas of the Civil war era. Best part-they WANT you to touch everythin...
It is a quaint little motel with a real country atmosphere and strives to please the traveler.
NoneWorth the sty in a tourist area.
Yes. The room was more than we expected. Very clean. Staff was great, nice and helpful. We liked the location. Nice and quiet. I felt it was very homey and cozy.
No. Every thing was great. It is only minutes from Gettysburg. Chambersburg and Cashtown are very close. Stores and restaurants nearby. Affordable.
Walls are alittle thin, had loud neighbors arrive at 2:30am.
