Popular with retirees and visitors, Fenwick Island is a delightful small town on a small peninsula just off the coast on the Delaware-Maryland border. The well-known, white Fenwick Island lighthouse has been a landmark for over 100 years. Fenwick Island is known as one of the quiet resorts in the area, though for such a small and quiet town, it has some great shopping, dining and recreation opportunities. There are only a few hundred permanent, year-round residents in Fenwick Island; summer finds several thousand more visitors and summer residents living there.
