Gordon Arms Hotel has an excellent reputation for its warm, friendly atmosphere and good food in comfortable surroundings. The former coaching inn is based in the attractive village of Fochabers in Moray and has served guests for over 200 years. Fochabers has easy access to the ‘Malt Whisky Trail’, and is ideal for fishing, walking and cycling trips. The Gordon Arms uses superb ingredients from Scotland and the Highlands, including: venison, lamb, game (in season, and fish and seafood from the Moray Coast).
Breakfast was very good.
My room was facing the front overlooking the main road which is the access route to the North. It was very noisy and I spent a restless night constantly being woken up by traffic
Very friendly staff, excellent food .Comfortable rooms and despite proximity to main road traffic noise is minimal . Hotel is dog friendly which is a bonus
Upgrade of santiary ware required,
Good sized rooms, with en-suite, and the most excellent food. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, with very generous portions.
The hotel wi-fi is limited. Could do with a better router to cast the signal further.
The staff were very friendly and the selection of beers was excellent
Staff very pleasant. Bedding and towels were nice and fresh and soft.Breakfast was lovely plenty of tea and toast.
Rooms were very dated and in desperate need of decorating
Generally this hotel is O.K. Rooms are clean. Food was good. Room service was good as I had a very long day.
No bath in the room. Decor abit tired. Television sound was poor.
Breakfast was good quality as was the evening meal. reception staff friendly.
Bed was uncomfortable. Room shook with passing lorry traffic through the night so had broken sleep. No staff in hotel after bar closes
Bedroom and en suite were clean. Most staff were very freindly. Food good.
Bed very uncomfortable and very old; bedroom decor very dated; public areas dark and carpets filthy
