Everyone was extremely helpful and we were very pleased that some staff spoke English and were very willing to help us out.
Our room was on the street side and it was very noisey. Everything else was great, including the pool which we really appreciated.
The hotel is in a very good location in the center of the city.Good transport to the waterfalls and airport.Breakfast very good! Lunch and dinner excellent and good value. This hotel offer comfort and has a very good food.Someone who doesn't want to expend much money and are looking for a good hotel this one is perfect. The only negative point is the staff doesn't not give enough turistic information, but for sure i would stay there again. The room are very clean and comfortable.
The people who work at the reception does not give enough information to the turist, maybe they don't know or are not trained enough.
Rooms were not very clean or well decorated and set out. The guy in reception is the worst P.R that a hotel could have. Everything requested was a drag for him and a big negative. A smile was just too much effort. The wireless interent access had poor signal. the bellboy made up a lot with his keeness to assist.
The service was hopeless, the lift was extremely slow and room poorly decorated. I will most definitely not stay at Hotel San Rafael again.
It was very affordable, breakfast plentiful, although don't know why Brazilian hotels serve so much cake in their breakfast buffet. It was certainly not glamorous but ok for the money.
The area around the hotel is pretty much deserted at night, only found two nearby restaurants and it was a bit spooky walking to them alone.
