The Studio Loft had a fantastic view of Pigeon Forge and the mountains. The staff was great. The unit had everything we needed and was very clean and confortable. My daughter has a service animal (seeing eye dog) and the staff was very accommodating. The mountaion view from our balcony with the fall foliage was breath taking and night time view of Pigeon Forge looked like diamonds sparkling.
My wife and I stayed here many years ago and have often thought about returning. No regrets! It was still the way we remembered it...clean, quiet, and friendly, with that same spectacular view.
I had no idea this place was at the top of the mountain but im glad it was despite the drive...our veiw from our room was amazing! It is such a nice place i would def go back and stay...from the nice little bed to the kitchen with everything you need in it, its perfect and the price was great...i cant think of any real cons other than the drive to get thier was a little confusing..but gatlinbug and this hotel are both awsome...and we had free wifi the whole time...so that must have been a misprint
We really enjoyed our stay at the Summit,& planning our stay again next year. Its not a fancy place but definetly more than met our needs and wants. Had beatiful view off our balcony. Was clean and comfortable. The kids liked the pool while we enjoyed the two hot tubs. Like most folks mention, it is a little off the beatin path but if your looking for relaxation, great views, along with the comports of home, & friendly staff this is the place for you ,tThe road up is in good shape ya just have to take little time due to curves. We also got to view a couple bears on the property this was very cool. And if you forget anything, it will help to know there is a small market about halfway down the mountain at the chalet.
My family was very pleased with our stay at The Summit of Gatlinburg. Our loft had plenty of room for all four of us. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. It's just a short distance from attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge as well as the park. We were able to enjoy shopping and fun family activities as well as the peace and quiet of the mountains. Since our loft had a kitchen, we could do meals and snacks economically. There was also a book of coupons on the table that saved us $ on attractions and activities. The pool and hot tubs were convenient and very nice. All of this and a very, very reasonable price. Our room was very clean. We look forward to returning again this year!
While we stayed there, there was a pack of wild dogs roaming the premises. One of the dogs was very frigthtening. If you stay there, just be careful.
Well, after looking for The Summit for hours, we were relieved to get to our condo. The view was breathtaking and worth the adventure, and I loved the staff and welcome we recieved. We had a hard time finding our way back up. They need signs posted along to way so you know where this place is. Would make us visitors feel better about being here. The mountains in the morning are a site to behold. We even talked about moving here. Our experience was memorable. Thankyou
We rejected rooms 4 times because they all smelled like smoke. We finally got a free ''upgrade'' from the smoke to musky-ness. The hallways smelled BAD. We aired the place out and it was OK, but we always held our breath in the hallways / stairs. Overall, it was worth it because it really has the best view in Gatlinburg, but you have to make sure you get it by calling. If you don't, you're view will STINK worse than the room. The thunderstorms are awesome though. Between them and seeing the morning fog from above, it made the trip. Overall, we're glad we stayed there, but we probably won't ever be back.
Condo was at the top of a mt, hard to find it, road was awful and winding, floor not vacuumed, bed and pillows was like sleeping on concrete, ADT alarm rang all night long one night, was told how sorry they were. We listened to the high pitch alarm all night long, no sleep...checked out one day early...Studio too small for 3 people...
This hotel was very nice, quiet, beautiful view, its in the moutains and a little hard to find at first. But overall a very nice place to stay. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms are clean and well stocked. This is a nice family place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone and would also stay again. A good value for the money. Thanks
