We chose the hotel for the suite feature, since we had parents and an older child staying together. Except for a broken bedside lamp, the master bedroom was fine -- the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the temperature was comfortable and very well regulated. The staff was friendly and helpful.
(1) The extra bed area in the suite was essentially unusable due to the noise in the atrium, which began each morning around 5:00 am. There was extensive, prolonged clattering of dishes and loud talking, enough to rouse even a very sound sleeper. This is a deal-breaker -- the room did not fulfill the need to accommodate a third person. (2) The breakfast was not worth the extra charge at all -- terrible hash browns; mediocre fruit; bacon of varying degrees of doneness; only yogurt with artificial sweetener was available. (3) The fitness room equipment was disappointing, particularly the low-quality elliptical machines, which were so stiff, even at the lowest resistance setting, that they did not remotely simulate running. (4) The elevators seemed about to fail; quite worrisome. (5) Many of the furnishings seem quite worn and in need of updating.
Cheaper than others.
Staff unresponsive. Bed rolls to center.
Main thing that made stay uncomfortable was dealing with a Chicago summer in a room that had no A/C and the staff said it was working fine even though the thermostat read 80 degrees.
Hotel over booked and put us in a conference room staff was terrible at understanding that we didn't want to spend our 25th anniversary in a conference room
Good breakfasts big suite friendly staff comfortable room Reasonable price
Could not adjust the temperature in the room, room was warm
Actually, there won't be a next time. So there was a religious conference going on for the weekend. Fine, preach on. But they were singing in the main atrium? Where everything echoes. Tell me you are hosting a religious conference so i don't have to feel asked religion pressed on me. I would have give somewhere else for a room. Then, i have these idiots arguing next to me at 2am. Granted, that is not the hotels fault, however, i was told i would get breakfast in the AM for the inconvenience....no one showed in the morning. Not a call, not a peep, nothing.
Read above. You subject your guests to others religious practices nor do you follow through.
Staff was nice.
Needs total refurbishing.
The front desk manager and the assistant that where there neilly where completely rude and very unhelpful.
Rude front desk employees
The atrium was pretty and my travel companion enjoyed breakfast there.
The hotel/rooms were really run down and need to be revamped/updated - things like a tear in the carpet and cracks in the trim of the bathroom door, etc. The elevators to the rooms are falling apart - all it would take is some simple maintenance and things could look significantly better thus cleaner and more inviting. The biggest problem, though, was one of the reasons I specifically booked the room was they offered free high speed internet but then it wouldn't work and neither my traveling companion nor I could connect. I had to work remotely the evening we arrived so I ended up using the hotspot on my mobile phone instead.
The beautiful Artuim
The handle on the tub faucet came off in my hand when I went to try to stop the dripping. It would have kept us awake but we just closed the door. There was also too wads of paper towels on the floor between the couch and table. Very noticeable.i did take puctures. Also no ice machine on the 2nd floor should have signs on the wall.
A good value at the reduced rate.
Beginning to show some wear.
Everything about the hotel was great. The staff, and hotel amenities were perfect
The location of the hotel was not close to anything, I needed. No fault of the hotel. My planning was off.
Has not been updated in 30years
The staff was very helpful. Restaurant/bar was very convenient and good was not bad.
Hotel felt very old. Looked like the rooms were not occupied very often. Lighting was bad. There was a spider in the bathtub. The shower head would not stay in position and had to take shower with my head ducked all the time.
