Welcome to the newly renovated Days Inn Grantville. Conveniently located off of Interstate 81 at exit 80. All rooms feature Free High Speed Internet Access, 25 inch televisions with HBO, hairdryers, AM/FM alarm clock radios and iron and ironing boards. All rooms feature a microwave and refrigerator as well. The Days Inn Grantville is just a short distance from Hershey Pennsylvania and all its attractions including Hershey Park, Hershey Arena, Chocolate World and ZooAmerica. Hollywood Casino and Penn National Racecourse are less than a mile form the hotel
I have stayed at several Days Inn, this was definitely a nicer one. The room was nice and clean, comfortable. There was a slight smell and the room seemed damp, but it wasn't annoying. The bed was ok, the pillows were a little flat, but we slept really well. It was pretty much what was expected from a Days Inn and for the money we spent.
Convienient to Casino and Hershey Park. Could have some more retaurants close by.l
Not a bad hotel at all and very easy to find, it's right off of I-81. We got a 'deluxe' standard room so it had a fridge and microwave which was nice. Very good rates. We came down from NH and went to Hershey Park and this hotel was only about 7 miles from there, and was a lot more inexpensive than staying right in Hershey! Only complaint we had was the bathroom, the door and walls were pretty dirty and could've used a scrub, a little hair was found in there too but otherwise the beds were nice and comfy and sheets were clean. All in all it's good for the price and location, not far from attractions and Dutch Country. There's also a big casino 1 mile down the road. I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to pay the high prices of the hotels in Hershey.
hotel easy in and easy out, people at desk very helpful, room was clean, mirco wave, ref, tv, hair dryer, iron, close to casino, very good places to eat nearby. staff very helpful in giving direction to places
This is our second stay here. Understand this is NOT a four-star hotel. It's a simple, clean place to rest after a day out. If you are looking for lots of perks and amenities; go somewhere else. If all you need is a clean comfortable place to rest; this place is conveniently located off Route 81, and close to Hershey. Room was clean and the beds were clean. Breakfast was crowded and very, very simple. Location feels safe. There is a gas station with a convenience store directly across the street.
DIrty/Moldy Bathroom.....Completely run down, Smelly room...The whole thing feels dirty. No microwave or refrigerator (I didn't realize that these were luxury items in a hotel room) thin walls (We can hear everything.)and we checked in at 11:45 pm to a smoking room with 2 small kids and the hotel wouldn't switch rooms to non-smoking for us! I won't be back...and I'm writing tnis review from the hotel bed and I just can't wait to wake up so we can leave! Not worth the money
right off I-81. 7 miles from Hershey. Easy to find. Room clean, beds clean. A/C worked well. Fridge and TV channel selection a bonus. Close to Hershey so this saved s money. Breakfast okay to good. Travelled from NJ.
The room was good. It was clean and it served its purpose for 2 nights. It was a good place to stay if you were visiting Hershey Park for the weekend. It was like 10 mins away. No complaints.
Bathroom door would not shut. You could hear everything happening in the room next door and then there are those 'lovely' children that like to run up and down the hallway outside early in the morning to wake everyone up. I always wonder where the parents are that let their children do this.
Great location if you are visiting Hershey Park. Hotel is conveniently located right off route 81. You will be at Hershey in less than 10 minutes. It's a straight drive, make a right, then a left and there you are. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom (tub in particular) had a lot of hairs from previous occupants. Also my non-smoking room had a funny odor. The beds were comfortable, and the rates were reasonable. I was travelling alone with a 7 year old and the location felt perfectly safe, even when driving back from Hershey Park at 10:00 PM. Breakfast was very basic, and crowded--not enought tables and food was not really that great. Staff however was very friendly. Overall, it was a good stay if you are only looking for a place to rest after spending hours at Hershey Park.
When we stayed, this location had recently undergone renovations to be converted to a Days Inn, so we really reaped the benefits of freshly-completed work. The room was spacious, very clean, and even had a microwave and refrigerator. The beds, only three weeks old, were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on while on the road. The staff was friendly, warm, and helpful, and the free continental breakfast was really nice. At $80/night the value was absolutely unbeatable compared to anything in Hershey. The location is easy to find - their sign is visible from I-81 and approximately ten miles from Hershey. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Hershey PA.
Room was adequate for the price. Nothing fancy but lots of tv channels, fairly comfortable bed, good choice if you just want a place to sleep without paying a lot. Breakfast was very crowded--not enought tables and food not that great.
We were upgraded from a queen to a king whirlpool room. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean, and it felt perfectly safe. There were plenty of TV channels and everything felt updated. Proximity to Hershey was great.
Bed comfortable. That was priority # 1. Room didn't smell bad but it was a bit cold when I got there. I turned the a/c off. But the shower looked like it needed real effort put into cleaning it and that wasn't happening. So I wore shower shoes. Ok I can deal for the price. But that's my comment.
ME,MY HUSBAND THOUGHT IT FINE NICE ,CLEAN WE NEVERED BEEN TO HERSHEY BEFORE SO A QUICK LOCATION DOWN THE STREET TO ALL ATTRATIONS AND AGREAT QUITE ,CHEAP PLACE TO STAY IENJOYED IT LOOKING FORWARD TO VISTING AND STAYING AGAIN.GREAT EXP''
Nonsmoking room smelled like smoke. Management attempted to eliminate odors and flying insects(we were told you get bugs when you're in the country), but the general maintenance of the unit was lacking.
Motel was right off route 81. The rooms are small but the unit was clean, the beds were comfortable, the rates were very reasonable. Good restaurant located within 1/2 mile. Tv offered many stations including HBO and they had high speed internet for free even though it wasn't listed in their features. Breakfast was very basic. Overall a good choice for most travelers.
