Gave me the wrong pick up time so when I showed up they were closed. The 800 number offered no help and were clueless as to how to resolve the issue...i.e. Get me another car asap from the nearest location. I cancelled the reservation and hertz made it happen with no effort on my part.4.4 Mediocre

I booked a rental car to be picked/dropped at Baltimore airport through Kayak; however, the booking was done for a different location, about 30-40 miles from the airport. I did not realize that at the time of booking, as I had entered BWI as pickup/drop off location and thought that the address shown with my rental booking was for the airport Avis location. This was my first visit to Baltimore and and I have no idea of the name of roads for airport Avis location or otherwise. KAYAK SHOULD MAKE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR AT THE TIME OF BOOKING THAT THE RESERVATION IS FOR DIFFERENT LOCATION, PARTICULARLY IN CASE OF AIRPORT, AS NO BODY KNOWS/REMEMBERS AIRPORT LOCATION ADDRESS FOR EVERY CITY. the Avis staff at BWI airport was good and helpful. Avis 800 customer care sucks, was dishonest and quoted much higher price than that quoted at the airport office.Cons:

When I went to drop off the car in Aberdeen the staff was not nice and he said there is an extra charge of $50 for not dropping the car in Baltimore and when I tried to explain what the staff told me in Washington DC he said it is not my business pay the $50 or take the car to Baltimore. This location always has you waiting for a car, the car had issues with a sensor that would flash at you while you drive and turn on and off. The radio system would just spontaneously restart while driving, and they have no room for drop offs the lot was overflowing and th car has to be street parked.2.0 Poor

My reservation was for a 4:00 PM pick up. That location, unbeknownst to me, closed at 4:00 PM. We arrived at 4:10 PM to find the attendant already closing up and the keys to our rental already locked in a safe that could not be accessed until the next morning. We were stranded without a car. The attendant knew he had a 4:00 PM rental.2.0 Poor
