Viimsi Manor Hotel Birgitta is a small hotel in the historical Viimsi Manor, as well as a party venue. It is located 10 km from the centre of Tallinn and 1 km from the sea and a white, sandy beach. The Viimsi Party Center Guesthouse Birgitta is located in the converted attic of Viimsi Peokeskus. The building with 11 double rooms and one suite also holds a large function hall and extensive sauna facilities. The restaurant Cocodrillo is located on the groundfloor and specialises in Italian food. In the summer the guests can have their meals on an open terrace. Viimsi Manor sometimes arranges parties that may last over night. On the ground floor, there is a large wood-burning sauna and a hot tub. There is a fireplace room on the first floor, equipped with a TV and a karaoke system. The nearest store and a bus station is a 3-minute drive away.
The hotel is within 15 minutes walking from the beach and the centre of Tallinn is just a short bus ride away. The bus stop is only 5 minutes walking from the hotel. The hotel is located on a beautiful and quiet spot in a park and has an excellent kitchen with a good choice for everyone's taste. The rooms are a bit basic but are clean and offer sufficient comfort.
This hotel seems in the first place a party centre and only in the second place a hotel. The rooms are located right above the party hall, so you won't sleep early if there is a party going on. Also the staff, though friendly and helpful, needed some reminders to replace the shampoo sachets in the bathroom and to put bedlinen on the extra bed that we requested in our room.
Great location, in a park, just a few kilometres from the city centre, which is easy to get to from the Hotel, albeit a walk of 10 minutes to get to public transport to take you to the city. Outstanding food in an impressive restaurant, and extremely helpful, accomodating, and friendly staff. I will definately use the Hotel if visiting the city again.
Beware if there is a function taking place in the function room, which is beneath the bedrooms. There were functions on both nights I stayed (Friday and Saturday), but fortunately they both ended around midnight.
