Location, quiet, view out the back patio. The room was large.
The water wasn't clean. The tub was filled with dirty brown water. This was reason for giving it an 8 for overall experience.
Location, staff, and lodge ambiance.
We could not open our windows, cranks were broken. I missed having a microwave in the room but the staff kindly helped with the issue. Also I missed not having a second bar of soap.
Quiet...but it is an off season
Dirty refrigerators with human hair in it. Bugs in the pool. AM front desk clerk who was less than pleasant. (only the one with the glasses...the other lady was very nice)
Beautiful room & decore throughout. Snowmobiling was excellent, though perhaps a little pricy for two people sharing one sled for 1/2 day (5 hours) at about $xxx with boots & bib.... Beautiful mountain scenery
We didnt get to use the pool area or any of the common areas because it seems some sort of family party was taking place & everything was sort of taken over (not really the lodges fault)...I did use the gym, but it was VERY small. The spa was not open
For being touted as a 4 star resort, my expectations were apparently set high. I won't go through my whole list, but a few items that failed to meet expectations were: Blow dryer in the room was broken, the shower head had so much hard water build up that water sprayed in random directions and trying to wash/rinse your hair was almost impossible. The carafe in the coffee maker poured more coffee on the counter than in the cup (no operator error, I assure you). The tiny fridge had no temperature control and froze all our drinks making them undrinkable. The last straw was the Mary Kay gathering that was being hosted in the banquet room right below our room. Imagine our surprise to be awaken at 8am on a Saturday morning to screaming/laughing/cheering/giggling women. I had so many places to choose from and wanted 'the best' The star-rating was misleading and for the amount we paid, we surely expected more. I was so looking forward to our weekend getaway and left feeling like I would have been more relaxed just staying home. :(
No in-room WiFi.
The atmospher is wonderful. The staff are great and everything is clean. It is a serene place to stay.
