When I went to get the car they raise $30.00 After 2 Hours there they fix it the car was filthy I went to Lax return the car they gave me recived then later they sent me different invoice Explaining the wind shield has problem,they charge me $100.00 Extra. I had a terrible experience. At first, my rental car was not available. Then they tried to charge me almost triple what the initial cost was. Through KAYAK, it was supposed to be $81. They charged me 180 at the counter. Then they tried to give me a Tesla for a 900 mile one-way trip that I was supposed to complete in 24 hours They ended up charging me an extra $40 to upgrade and get a normal car. Ie. non electric. How is an electric car even an option on a one-way trip through the country?Reviewed May 19 2024

It was awful. I showed up at my appointed time at 9 AM. It was told there was no car available, and if somebody turned in, they put me on a waitlist to get a call, which I did not get. I was basically told it was my fault, but I made a booking after their hours didn’t reservation. Then when they pull the list in the morning from their system, for some reason, my name was not on it, which it should’ve been. Nothing I can control either of these situations Their fault. I had to get myself to the Portland airport, I was able to find a car via Avis. This experience with her was incredibly disappointing and really impacted my ability to catch my flight.Reviewed May 19 2024

There wasn’t anyone at the desk when I returned the vehicle, which is understandable considering ILM is a small airport and I arrived at 5am. But when I called later that day to ask about if they had processed the car back in the system and what the final price would be, the person on the phone was almost clueless and offered very little help. Only telling me that it’s a “corporate rental” and they don’t know anything regarding final costs. Super unsatisfactory and ambiguous answer.Reviewed May 18 2024

When picking up my vehicle, they insisted I take a hybrid vehicle saying it was going to get better mileage for the price and save me on gas but it had worse mileage compared to the vehicle I had reserved, so I really just paid more for gas and more for the vehicle they upsold me on. the car had sensors that went off the entire time seatbelt and forward driving aids my son and i tried everything to get the constant alarm 🚨 to stop headache all day and night on our trip! When i told the lady at the hertz rental she just acted like i put something heavy on the seat must be and made the alarm go off! No big deal that you had to hear alarms constantly while driving in unfamiliar places while trying to navigate you have to listen to extremely loud alarms 🚨 sensors that are messed up!Reviewed May 18 2024
