Our 1887 3 story brick house is the ultimate Victorian Experience! Our guests call this a museum you can sleep in!! The details include Victorian children's books and toys, a myriad of china figurines and vividly colored glasswares adorning shelves and tables, and antique pictures in profusion on the walls. Stereoscope viewers wait to be enjoyed by present day visitors while strains of music box tunes waft through the air. The dining room is filled with the luxuries that a middle class family could obtain from the latest Sears and Wards catalogues of the 1890s! From century-old books sporting antique bookmarks in the bookcases to antique medicine bottles and shaving paraphanalia in the bathrooms--this house is overflowing with genuine articles of daily life that a 1900 era family might have used and enjoyed. Antique clocks tick and chime throughout the house. Interesting sights wait outside in the gardens of the home. The large brick patio provides many places for sitting, relaxing and eating. The side porch shelters the house plants in summer and provides a quiet place for watching the world go by. Benches, a hammock, and swing provide spots for bird watching, reading, peering into Victorian gazing balls or listening to the bubbling fountain.
