Pros:Location.
Cons:Old and filthy!!!!! Would never recommend and will never stay again. Very disappointed. Thought search sites would only have quality hotels on it.

Pros:The hotel is a great location and has beachfront access. It is right on Gulf Shore BLVD near the 688 causeway. There are a couple of restaurants and bars across the street. A CVS is also nearby which is convenient. Room had a brand new ceiling fan which worked well. Front desk attendant was nice.
Cons:The overall cleanliness of the hotel is very sub-par. The hallways look like an abandoned insane asylum with low tile ceilings, rusted sprinkler heads, and old wood doors. Some of the room number signs were faded or failing off. Upon entering the room we were greeted with a musky smell, but we proceeded to turn on the lights and investigate the room. Filters on the AC were actually clean, but in the vents there was mildew buildup contributing to the smell. The room had a door that gave direct access to the beach and shared back patio. The room furniture is dated and the "kitchenette" is original to when the motel was built. There is a metal sink with two burners attached which seems like a dangerous combination. The counters were a mustard yellow with duct tape holding it down. The kitchenette was mildly stocked with cups, plates, and flatware. There was also a mini-fridge and microwave. The television was a tube TV from the 90's. The comforters had some holes in them and there were only 3 small pillows per bed. If you wanted ice you had to pay for it. The carpet was a dark forest green, so you cannot see how much build up is really on them. The bathroom smelled like smoke as we think it was coming in from the unit next door. The bathtub was dirty and bathroom poorly stocked. We booked this last minute and mainly for the location, but would not stay there again. We read reviews ahead of time and expected it to not be great, but it was far below 2.5 stars. We brought Lysol and Clorox cleanup to be safe! Wish we would have packed sleeping bags to be honest.
