We liked its location in a very cute white village and because the view from the hotel to the valley.
We forced to wait above 10 minutes to any reaction from the staff while reaching the hotel. Everything was closed.Let them understand their duty to be ready for arrival of their guests who booked their staying in advance.
We were able to our little dog with us......it was very quiet and convenient for walking and exploring the local area...there is a sauna and jacuzzi with a gym soon to be added.
The breakfast was abit poor.....the resteraunt closed at 5pm but the family who ran the hotel were very pleasant and made us welcome.
nice location (starting point for walks in sierra de las nieves, 5 min walk from Istan village, yet only 20 min walk to the beach), very authentic and quiet (what a contrast to the tourist industry cast in concrete down in marbella), staff reasonably helpful. good place for people who like the real (sort of) spain away from the mainstream crowds.
food wasnt exactly overwhelming. perfectly ok if you expect a relatively inexpensive, comfy and authentic place in rural spain. perhaps not the right choice if what you're looking for is a large, international hotel with all the amenities and not much of the local character.
Wonderful hotel-even hard to count all advantages:) First of all it has a great location and wonderful views-this is a peaceful accommodation in the surrounding of beautiful mountains. Rooms designed in the typical Andalusian style are pretty spacious and very clean. There is a parking near the hotel.
You definitely need a car to get there. Please note that the hotel is situated in the national park, so if you are looking for night life and parties, this not a place for you;)
The food was plain but excellent, as was the wine. The pool is clean, well maintained, and very good. The staff are friendly and helpful - their English is limited, but we got by. The views from the terrace are to die for. Breakfast is a little basic, but the coffee is very good
The drive up to the hotel is a little difficult, but worth the effort
It's great little hotel, only 20 min from Marabela with spectacular view to the mountains and lake. Road to the hotel is not a problem at all. And hotel being on higher grounds, it was just a right temperature during the night to sleep with no a/C. Food in hotel is very good and restaurant’s terrace gives great view to the lake.
The owner waited for us till we arrive. We arrived there very late, after midnight.Room was very cosy, and beautiful view during breakfast :)))
nice area and rural type (hotel)- atmosphere - nice terrace, pleasant view, large room with rural type bathroom, good and large parking place
Breakfast and coffee
