We stayed here over the Thanksgiving break and were 100% pleased. It was completely clean and comfortable, a decent breakfast that was complimentary, and had everything we needed overall. Very convenient location, within walking distance to walmart, taco bell, and several restaurants. Just a $5 cab ride to the mall, movies or other attractions. Would definitely stay again!
This hotel got bad reviews before but I think they must have been before the new owners took over and completely renovated the whole property. The rooms are spacious and very clean, smelling fresh. The lobby is warm and inviting, with nice decor. The staff is the nicest, most courteous staff of any hotel I have been to. They have a seasonal pool and they are very convieniently located to tons of shopping and restaraunts. I would stay here over any of the other hotels in the area. Most of those are overpriced and you do not get your money's worth there like you do at the Super 8 in Jacksonville.
this hotel got so many bad reviews, i was so nervous about booking it but took a chance and am glad i did. i was traveling with a baby so my standards were pretty high. the room was small but clean. the bed was comfy. i was annoyed with how slow the wifi. and the bathroom, while clean, was nothing luxurious. when i travel i like to spoil myself a little and the shower was worse than my one at home. it worked and was clean and everything but it needed a new shower head. the staff was friendly and the price was right. some of the reviews on here made me think it was going to be dirty or something. its not. its a great, cheap alternative to some of the expensive places in jacksonville. i would stay there again with my family in a second.
We have stayed at this location 3 or 4 times and have always had a positive experience. Location is convenient, staff is helpful, and the price is reasonable
I stayed in this hotel for 1 week and it was DISGUSTING. The first room I had turned our socks black and two seperate times we returmed to the room to find broken glass on the floor and bed. After complaining we were upgraded to a larger more expensive room and that room had damp floors, blood stains on the bed, an outlet hanging out of the wall, stunk like mildew. It was very unsanitary and CHEAP. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone no matter how good the price is. This place is really nasty. The staff was friendly and cooperative although they could't change the way the hotel was kept up. Very disappointing!
This was the worst place I have ever stayed. The first room I was given smelled like mildew and even though it was a non smoking room you could still smell the smoke coming from the hallway from the smoking rooms. The hotel staff was helpful in giving me another room however it was not much better. I would not recommend this room to anyone.
This was one of thr cleanest, helpful, comfortable Hotel we encountered on our vacation.THANKYOU!!!
This is a good hotel. It is not a four star, tons of amenities, kiss-your-backside kind of hotel. But for the money it is a good value. I would definitely recommend guaranteeing your room for late arrival because hotels are a booked up pretty quickly, especially as military people are incoming or departing for war. (You won't be the only person to come up for the weekend to say goodbye to your kid.) They made a mistake on my room the first night, but compensated me the next by moving me to an upgraded room from the one I originally booked. I really liked the staff because they were more than pleasant. As I checked out, I was in a dilemma to figure out how to get my boarding passes printed. I asked the hotel clerk where I could get this done, and she happily did it for me. It didn't seem the pool was open but I wasn't going there anyhow. The parking is shared with three other hotels, but that was a bonus in that we could find parking. It is a distance from Camp LeJeune but not unreasonable. The location of the hotel is on one side of a divided highway so be prepared to go past the hotel, do a u-turn to come back but even that was not a big deal.
The hotel staff was very friendly. We called to inform them we would be arriving late, and the clerk was very nice. When we arrived it was approx. 10:30 PM. She was checking in another family, answering the phones, and the whole time was very professional, polite, and pleasant to talk to.\nI would recommend this hotel. \nThey could work on:\nfloor in bathroom needed repair, but was not a safety issue.\nBreakfast bar could have had more, but they are located around alot of eating establishments so it wasnt a major issue.
we specifically asked for a non-smoking room, and the desk clerk said she gave us a smoking room anyway. the room was in terrible shape and REEKED! of cigarettes. the toilet flushed itself every ten minutes. the walls are paper thin...not good for family. if you have a pet, they ask you to take the dog across the parking lot to someone else's property to go to the bathroom.
We stayed in this hotel for only a few hours. 3 hours max. We went to get a room just to sleep for a few hours before meeting some other family. Our room that we had booked for the weekend, was not ready. The room smelled horrible. It smelled like mildew. The room was damp. The bed covers felt damp, there was condensation on the windows, desk, TV and floor. Everything was musty. We had considered keeping this room because the price was considerably cheaper than our original reservations, however, after getting into the room, we immediately decided we would only be sleeping for a short period of time and then leaving.
Stayed for 2 nights with my family and our dog to visit our Marine before deployment. Good location to Camp LeJeune. Felt safe. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Pet friendly too! Fee was $* for the stay which is very reasonable. Breakfast was very basic. Fit our needs very well and was the lowest rate I found in this area. We would definitely come back.
