Staff was wonderful, room was clean, Was a quiet comfortable room in every other regard.
did not have 'amenities' in room, ie cups, coffee making supplies in room and had to go ask staff.
Breakfast. The smell of air freshener. (Gives me a headache. It's toxic) Handicapped room (I am not handicapped).
THE ONLY REASON WHY WE DIDN'T GO SOMEWHERE ELSE was because it was 1am. If I hadn't prepaid I WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED HERE. The front desk did not inform me of check out time. My email conf said 12pm but at 11:08 they were calling apparently check out is 1
The hot water.
Staff. VERY hard, uncomfortable beds. breakfast wasn't up to par. Had unexpected expenses that weren't clearly stated when reserving room.
Vending machines only took change and not dollar bills
the spacious cleam rooms
not at all
Pillow covers had stains on all 4 pillows.Bed sheets had stains and they did not get changed for 2nd night stay.Bath towels had a yellowish tint to them.Room smelled of cigarette smoke.
I likes the fact that they served a small breakfast. The location was very close to downtown Louisville.
I didn't like the fact that the carpet smelled like cigarette smoke or the fact that the adjacent building was abandoned.
The first room assigned was not mad up at all. Bed unmade, towels all over the bathroom.New desk man did not know how to use the computer system well enough to assing a cleaned room.
It was close and convenient and the price was right.
I think the room could have been a little cleaner, and provided us with a pen, pad and some matches. I didn't like the continental breakfast or the smell of the refrigerator in the room.
Close proximity to interstate.
The room smelt musty.
The owner warns you about the Nazi police before you do anything stupid. Like speeding and seat belts and such
The room was narrow. The room was clean but the carpet and furniture were stained up.
The location is fantastic and the staff was very accomodating.
The refrigerator was missing from my room, but they did tell me that they were in the process of repairing and replacing some of them ahead of my visit. The bed was a little firm for my taste, but no biggie.
The bed, the group outside that wouldn't let us drive underneath the overhang very uneasy experience, plus found girls undies and a t-shirt in room, the bed did not have the right sheets on it and the door had a hard time closing
The price was very reasonable. It was Forcastle week and most other hotels had jacked up their prices.
There were black stains on the carpet. The room was hot upon checking in at 7:30pm. The window unit took a long time to cool the room down. The room did not smell good. Luckily I had packed febreze, it helped a little bit.
My first room was not cleaned at all and the bed was slept in. It took 2 other attempts to get me a clean room. Then the refrigerator didn't work. We has 2 rooms that we rented and the other one had cigarette burns in the mattress. No hot water either.
Nothing...we were to have a Continental Breakfast. There was one slice of bread, and cereal, and waffle maker.
The room was large, bed was big, there was a fold out bed in the loveseat.
Location was poor, right next to a hotel that was apparently being gutted, mattresses and carpet had been thrown over the balconies and were piled all over the ground outside.
It was very dirty! No blow dryer, door would not stay locked, No safety chain on the door! Breakfast was terrible!!! Milk tasted old/spoiled, cereal was stale, breakfast area was very dirty!
Hair dryer was missing. Walls are thin.
Room was spacious
Everything was fine
fair value for the money.
Room cleanliness was acceptable but there were partially consumed beverages including a half gallon of spoiled milk in the refrigerator and a child's drink cup on the floor next to the bed.
The bed was very comfortable. Staff very nice.
My door would not shut well. Had to slam very hard to shut the door without being able to push it open :(
that it was available for a good price
they didn't give us sheets for the cot
Every night we had to ask for towels, soap, coffee. They didn't replenish the supplied for the room every day.
I liked the amenities, laundry, fridge, wifi, microwave oven.
Although overall was ok, it had a dirty smell, tile floor was Dirty, nice look but not clean.
The staff was not present most of the time, maid service was poor to nonexistent, the breakfast area was filthy day after day, food stains, sticky syrup on chairs and tables! :(
Rediculously overpriced and the 'cab' they got for us was a shuttle which cost twice as much as a cab ride back later that evening.
Close to hospital where I was having surgery.
Yes, we asked for smoke free room, we smelled smoke immediately upon entering room. Coffee pot didn't work. Dirty towels were hanging from shower and a half empty bottle of shampoo was left in shower!!! Will never be back.
Great location just outside of downtown, away from the hustle and bustle and just a short drive across the bridge. Pretty good breakfast. Microwave and fridge in room.
Breakfast could have had some healthier options (i.e. fruit) and been open later (was only open until 9 -- not great for those later risers!)
Great room and staff.
I liked everything.
Room size good, great breakfast and staff helpful.
Staff was really helpful, asking me at check in if we were going to the concert in Louisville and giving us can phone numbers and tips to call them early. Gave us an awesome recommendation for food too (rockys off exit 0!!)
Stain on the blanket on the bed. When we called the front desk he said they were short staffed nd asked if we could bring the blanket down. A bit later a new blanket showed up at our door, folded nicely. When we opened it we found the same exact stain!
I would never stay here again. We had to ask them to clean the room. It had not been vacuumed. The floors and counter in bathroom were dirty. Even after a second time through, it was not clean! Not worth the money. I should have known by the elevator floor. I do not think it was cleaned the whole year it has been opened. Definitely did not even try the continental breakfast.
We stayed in three hotels on our trip and this was by far the worst. The hot breakfast was just waffles which are good but all other hot breakfast include other items as well. All the other cold food there was just enough for 3 people. They put everyone in the same area of the hotel and it got very loud until 4am. We were on the 3rd floor and the only ice maker that worked was on the first floor. I would not stay here again.
The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was a good value.
Lobby is ok, room ok. If you need to stay close to Louisville for Churchill Downs opening day and everything is too expensive - it works!
