smells nice and clean
well train tracks next to my roomclean, nice and will stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Major benefits of staying here was the location, restaurants close by, the safeness, the ease of getting to get to New York and the subway. We parked the car and never moved it again until we left Jersey City.We picked the Candlewood based on reviews, price, location and ease of parking. Many of the other Hotels in that area were more expensive. The Candlewood hotel doesn¿t have a pool and you have exchange your own towels each day if you want new ones, this is not a big deal and definitely worth saving more than $100 each night. The price and location was right for us and the hotel was nice and clean. We felt very safe, even at night when walking back from a restaurant or the PATH station. Right across the street from the hotel was an entrance to the Hudson River Walkway with a beautiful view of the New York Skyline and the WTC. The walk was very pretty at night. Go to: https://maps.google.com/ and zoom in on Jersey...
No breakfastThe hotel was nice, but I've paid far less for better in the past. By the way, I paid Priceline XXX up front and at check-out they handed me a receipt that said my bill was really XXX. First time that's ever happened going through Priceline.
New. Very, very clean. Outstanding spacious rooms. Nice staff. View of NYC skyline and Hudson River
No breakfast optionWOW!!! So much better than I had expected. New building. Very, very clean. Outstanding spacious rooms. Nice staff. Exterior grounds are well kept. Great urban neighborhood w/ several restaurants'. Beautiful view of NYC skyline and access to Hudson River walk. Right next to NJ Transit's light rail and convent to PATH trains to NYC - or only a few blocks from the auto tunnel - or to NJ Transit's Hoboken Terminal. Outstanding experience. WOW!!!!!!
I LIKED THAT IT WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO THE EXCHANGE PLACE PATH STATION TO GO TO NEW YORK. THERE IS ALSO A VERY GOOD DELI ONE BLOCK AWAY BEHIND THE HOTEL.
The room that my husband and I stayed in was not your typical room it was fully equiped with a kitchen, fridge, pots, pans, plates, coffee supplies and a lot more that I wasn't expecting for the price I paid. It really felt like home! I would go back!
I loved it!It was a wonderful experience! I would definitely come back again. It's clean, friendly staff and enviroment!
Rooms are very comfortable and location is very good if you want to avoid paying exorbitant hotel prices in Manhattan. Commuting to Manhattan is quick and easy on PATH.
They only do housekeeping after 7 nights. Even though you can personally change towels any day without limits at front desk, they should at least change sheets every 3-4 nights.Excellent alternative to pricier hotels in Manhattan with similar and/or higher star level.
I liked the easy access to the hotel and our clean, spacious room.
Not at all.I liked that this hotel was cheaper than staying in New York City, but it was very easy to get to NYC. I liked that there was lots of open space including a living area and a kitchen. They had everything you needed, utensils, plates and even complimentary popcorn. I will definitely stay at this hotel again, prices were reasonable, room was clean and exceeded my expectations.
