The facilities, though they don't look great, were really nice. We were surprised to find a nice hotel like this within driving distance to our destination in Fort Worth Texas. The staff was nice, and allowed us to check in as we arrived and also warned us that there was going to be a large party of high school basketball players arriving later that night. We appreciated the knowledge since later we did here their noisy arrival, but since we had been warned it was no surprise and they quieted down quickly. Over all the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and nice. There were plenty of towels and hot water, the bathroom was plain but useful. The television was a small older style but kept the kids happy. Not a lot of noise heard through the walls, and the location doesn't have big trucks or trains nearby to produce loud noises. A good nights sleep was enjoyed by all of us.
The only things that detracted from this review are: the morning staff at checkout may have had a fine personality but I never got a chance to find out, she never said anything. No smile, no greeting, no acknowledment, she simply asked my room number(s) and proceeded to checkout. She then folded the papers and handed them to me and that was it. I began to wonder if I had done something wrong. I do have to say the rest of the staff we met were very nice and helpful. The other issue that I noticed was the bad wiring job done to install CCTV camera at the front door, the cables were just randomly hanging down and half secured. I understand the need for surveillance, but it should be unobtrusive and discreet. It looked like whoever did this job had never done it before or they simply didn't care. Since it was the very first thing you are apt to see when arriving, more thought should have gone into making it look professional. If the building had just been built and there was unfinished work elsewhere it would have been forgiveable, but this was not the case.
