Daytime noise. Two days a week with landscaping power tools. Room downstairs was being remodeled so there were power tools in use there. Not a disturbing level of noise, just annoying.
Location near the airport
Finding out how to arrange late arrival
We rented one apartment for 6 people, but in the evening we discovered that the sofa-bed frame wasn't holding, most of the springs gone or broken. Because was late and our time in Kauai very short we didn't want to spend time complaining and dealing with it (the reception is in another location) so we moved the mattress (thin and old) and two of us slept on the floor. I wonder how they had prepared the bed without checking the condition of it! Also, the second day the fridge started making a very loud noise, so the two people in the living room had a very hard time sleeping. For fairness, the 4 in the rooms were comfortable. Evidently the apartments are not very well kept, but the amenities and the beach are great and safe for the kids and the location convenient.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The grounds and the condo were absolutely beautiful. We would recommend this facility to others.
My husband and I stayed here on our recent trip to Kauai. It was a nice property-- gated with very nice grounds. We felt safe & secure. The landscaping crew was working daily to keep everything looking nice. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and the ocean... and relaxing in their lounge chairs. The condo did not have air conditioning, but we were very comfortable with the multiple ceiling fans. The condo was about what you would expect-- 1 bedroom was comfortable and spacious enough for a couple to enjoy. We used the coin-operated laundry once and didn't have any problems. You should wake up and watch the sunrise over the water, as the view is great. The town of Kapaa wasn't very exciting, but it was nice to be somewhat centrally located so you could travel north and south on the island. We didn't find many great restaurants in Kapaa (many were just so-so) but we like Kintaro for sushi and it was within walking distance. Smith's Luau isn't too far away and worth checking out.
We really couldn't have asked for better. The location is awesome and central to the island. Everything is within a few hours. The room was great. I understand that the rooms may be individually decorated but ours was perfect for us. No complaints here other than the full days travel it takes to get there!
The condo was okay. We expected if it was a condo that there would be a washer and dryer available in the unit but there was not. This was somewhat disappointing. The kitchen was nice and overall it was a bit outdated but clean. Our unit was close to the street and there was major construction going on across the street and there was major tree trimming going on. This all started at the wee hours of 6:00am!!!! It was quite unpleasant. An inner codo unit would be a better bet.
Very nice room, comfortable. At 7pm we found out there was no hot water. Maintenance came up very shortly to turn on water heater. The grounds were beautiful, room was very spacious. Ocean view was beautiful.
This was a nice property. Grounds are beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful. Our unit was ok. Needs updating and a good cleaning. We were a little dissappointed in the location of our unit. Though technically an Ocean Front unit we felt Ocean View would have been more appropriate. We thought we were purchasing the 500 building but ended up in unit 332. Just not how I pictured it when I planned the trip. The pool is very nice and we never had a problem getting a lounge chair. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need. There was a too small TV in the living room and it was placed in a way that made watching it awkward and uncomforable. All the fans helped keep the temperature comfortable. Short walk to Coconut Marketplace. Fun shopping and good eating at Eggberts. This is a great place for familes with small kids.
Easy check-in after hours. Lots of room, although a second TV would've been good. No airconditioning but ceiling and floor fans did a good job along with the breeze. Pool is good sized. Beach is very close. Grounds are well maintained. Housekeeping respected privacy notice and left towels outside. Beds not super comfy but adequate. We were upgraded to an ocean view without being told-no complaints here. Good stay for the money.
