From welcome off the boat to departure it was a wonderful experience. The view is breathtakingly beautiful, the villas are fun + close to nature and the staff is charming. The massages are heavenly - so once adapted that there is no aircon to sleep, this is heaven on earth.
Nothing negative to say.
This is a very unique place for taking a break from everything. We have never experienced such a beautiful resort before. The villas are open and very nicely decorated. You fall asleep with the sound of the sea and nature and you wake up with the same. That's fantastic. The view is breathtaking. It was a pity that we only stayed three nights but we will definitely come back.
I would hate to say too many things about this resort because I don't want to see it get too busy. It is phenomenal though. The staff are super friendly and very eager to please. There is no air conditioning in the rooms since you have your own open air hut, but with ceiling fans and the cool shade of palm trees the temperature was perfect. If you'd like an open air, hidden, exclusive, high end resort this is the place for you.
The only thing I was not aware of is that I should have planned our flights to arrive in Phuket by 2-3pm local time. That way I would have had enough time to take a taxi to the pier and catch the ferry to the island. We stayed in Phuket which was nice and caught the first ferry the next morning. Well worth the wait.
The setting was remarkably beautiful, and the resort was quiet and well maintained. The beach is in a particularly nice location -- probably the best along that strip. Rooms were comfortable in general, and the beds quite nice. I also liked the outdoor showers. The motorbikes available were fun, and very reasonably priced.
The food was bland and preparation not as interesting as it could be. Perhaps a more limited -- but more flavorful -- menu would be possible. Lighting in the bedrooms could be better (for reading), and an option for air conditioning in some rooms might be helpful. Help with travel arrangements -- especially given the location-- could be better, and the price quoted seemed prohibitive (4 times our actual cost when we arranged it ourself).
From the villa we had a beautiful view of the beach and surrounding waters and very colorful sunrises
The food was average at best and mosquitos were a real problem
