The room was clean. The hotel was quiet and it's in a good location. This is very much a budget hotel. But spend more money and stay at The Dorset Mongkok up the street which is much better and part of the same hotel group as Silka.
The room had beds that were too small. Couldn't fit a 6ft tall person in the bed without my feet hanging off the bed. The air conditioning was very weak so the room was hot. The bathroom was incredibly small, even for HK standards. The room had no washcloths at all and there was only one outlet that I could find. For what you get the price of the hotel should be much lower.
SIZE OF ROOMS RUDE STAFF
The staff were helpful, and the shuttle bus to and from shopping and station a bonus
The girl at the reception is helpful. The rooms are generally clean although it is relatively very small. But I guess, this is quite common in hk, & anyway, most of the time i'm out of the hotel, so, it doesn't matter. This hotel is suitable for solo traveller. Walking distance to the Ladies Mkt. & Electronics Mkt.
The bed! It's so small and so hard!! My legs literally 'dangle' out. Not suitable for tall asians. I have a hard time sleeping. The bed is so hard and uncomfortable. Not for skinny, boney people for sure. It feels like sleeping on a wooden plank. For solo travellers, ask for 2 single bed, so you could put on that unused comforter to make it feel better. Other than that, everything is fine.
Very friendly staff and they did their best to make my stay comfortable.
