Great value for the money. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good location.
The front staff was very helpful and nice but the night guy was sleeping when he was supposed to have started breakfast. Breakfast hours are rather late. The room itself was large but the beds did not have any blankets (only sheets, no mattress cover and no fitted sheets). The sheets on the queen bed were for a double bed size so they were too narrow. You could see the mattress thru the sheets. There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom - not sparkling clean either...I went to the fron desk about it and they were quick to answer my requests but they did not understand what I meant about the fitted sheets and mattress cover. They tried their best to help but I think that they don't have the proper equipment
We were very pleased with Hotel Sezgin. We visited in early October which may be a slightly low season, but it was certainly the best value hotel we encountered on an extended trip. Sezgin and Dennis make a good team and went out of their way to make sure we got the most out of our trip to Kusadasi. Sezgin's help in getting us to the places we wanted to visit was much appreciated and I would say that his arrangements were tailored to our preferences and certainly not more expensive than other options - in particular the arrangements he made to get us to Ephesus were just what we wanted and much less costly than an organised tour. The room was very spacious and the bar fridge and electric jug appreciated.
The bathroom had been cleaned ok, but it was in need of a scrub.
My partner and I are keen travellers, and like our independence. When passing through Kusadasi we stayed at the Sezgin for three days, walking the beaches of the Delik National Park during the visit. We had the pleasure of a large, airy spotlessly clean room, very reasonable rates and a friendly staff. The staff are attentive without being ovewhelming, and we were not pressed with the usual requests that we take organised tours, though these were available if required. We reccommend the place highly.
Good location, right in the city center, near the sea and not far from the dolmuş stop. Many facilities in the nearby (shops, restaurants, travel agencies, ...). Very good breakfast. There's a pool, a nice common room and a pretty garden. Free internet and A/C. Good accomodation for backpackers.
The room was really tiny (less than 10m2), the bathroom was very old and unclean. Many broken things (soap dispenser, water tap, mattress, wardrobe). Completely different from the description and pictures on the web. No kitchen in my room, nor minibar, TV, bath or balcony (they declare such stuff as room facilities). If you want to book, ask about which room you'll be given. No credit cards!
The Hotel was really good for the price. For the independent traveller, Kusadasi isn't really a destination I would recomend, but as a stopping point or exit point for greece then it's fine. Hotel was good though.
The hotel was charming (location and looks) and had internet facilities
the beds were uncomfortable (old?)
The swimming pool, the room.
