Room large with interesting interior deign and decor.
Room noisy with plumbing and mechanical rattles from equipment. Bedside light was broken. Indicator lights on wall switches were too bright. Had to use elevator to get ice. No in room coffee maker. $30 a day for parking...wow!
The staff at this hotel is THE BEST. For the minute we arrived, the staff was noticeably superior to any other I've ever seen......and I've been to many hotels! We were amazed.
There is nothing not to like about this hotel. The ocean views are amazing, decor is modern and tasteful, rooms are clean and fresh, the 11th floor bar and restaurant are fantastic....great food and reasonably priced.
The Hotel La Jolla has been nicely renovated by Kimpton. They have done everything they could to upgrade it into a luxury hotel short of knocking it down and rebuilding. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. The room was clean w/nice amenities.
There's a large parking lot,yet they charge guests $30./night for valet parking with obvious empty spots. They use the restaurant upstairs as an excuse,on weekdays it's not busy. The internet fee is $12.99-$14.99/day. I won't stay at any Kimpton again.

The staff was accommodating and location was great.
Paying for parking when paying for pricey hotel rooms. Is tacky. Tourists having vehicles to enjoy the area benefits the economy overall. High nightly parking fees is a deterrent to staying in these places in future. Air B and B looks better on paper.
No complimentary breakfast. Swimming pool with no jacuzzi and shower room. Shower Handle fell off. Valet parking is not really needed since the parking lot is empty. The front desk charged me 105.00 without notification.
favorite hotel in san diego region. TRULY pet-friendly, they treat our graceegrrrl as valued guest, rather than as non-refundable 'deposit'. heated saltwater pool and firepit, food brought poolside is our daughters favorite. staff's courtesy unparalleled.
the view was great,,
all was good.
Hotel was nicely updated and clean.
The hotel only offered valet parking and charged $30 a day for parking. Don't like having to tip a valet every time I want to take the car or park it on top of the $30 a day parking fee. Rooms were outside which made the whole hotel drafty and cold.
Location, restaurant, clean/sleek decor.
It was noisier than expected with street traffic. On the second floor, our view was obstructed. Would definitely ask for a room on one of the top floors on our next stay. We will likely try some of the other hotels in the area to compare.
location, staff, room decor and restaurant on site
Free shuttle to surrounding area and happy hour!
Cusp the restaurant..
Room service was horrible. Rooms were pricey but out dated.
I liked the ambiance, location.
Hotel seemed to lack security. My hotel room door was cracked open when I checked in. As a female traveling alone, that's not safe. Especially when the hotel room doors face the outside, and not have a sense of security with interior hotel door rooms.
Beds were to low. Pool was only 3'.

Good location, near La Jolla Shores. Nice lobby area and good general appearance.
Only on property parking is $30 a night valet . All other parking is find your own on the side streets. All amenities are very expensive. $13 a night Wi-Fi and $7 bottles of in-room water. No in-room mini fridge to keep store-bought items cold.
The Staff and my room.
The food selection was very limited. The honey wings were awful, no flavor. Service at the bar on the 11th floor was poor. The restaurant was extremely loud; impossible to have a conversation.
The Hotel was close to where we needed to be. The room was nice but not what I expected for 4 star.
Parking was expensive ($30 a day). The internet was $13 for basic. No impressed at all.
$30 mandatory valet parking. Not well maintained after the renovation, maybe, 10 years ago.
Small entrance drive way. Bed uncomfortable. Elevator scary at night. Drink dispenser broken at breakfast.
Staff was very friendly the hotel itself is very nice.
At 7:00am they hand very loud landscapers tree trimming that woke everyone in the hotel and went for hours. To me that can only be considered as poor management it was truly unacceptable.
Location, view from rooms, rooms were very nicely appointed with good mattress and pillows
There isn't any adult supervision. All of the personnel are very young and obviously inexperienced. Pool was closed one day for a special event and no warning or anything posted. Woman telling us to 'pack it up' was very rude.
I love the location of the hotel. I also like that the hotel had a restaurant on site as well as a huge patio/bar on the lobby level.
I did not like that i wasn't able to have a ocean view room which was at the 6th floor level and above. My room was on the 4th floor.
the staff and the dog friendly environment.
Very noisy high traffic location. High ($28/day) parking charge. Really weird lobby furnishings.
