Nice, relatively new, apartments. There was a fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher though). Suppose the furnishing depends on the private owners of the apartment. Had a 3-bedroom apartment, which was ok for 4 adults and 2 small children, but which would be a bit small for 6 adults. There was a swimmingpool for our apartment block. Short walk to the beach side of Mar Menor.
Ideal for families with small children, but nothing to do for party animals. Also not many bars/restaurants/shops in Mar de Christal, so you really need a car to go out and about. For us no problem, so would go back there again.
Location was excellent for access to the coast around La Manga. If you want to stay on the beach all day, then the resort is fine with a couple of small shops stocking all that you would need. If you would like to go further afield and take in the countryside around the resort, and the local towns, then you would definitely need a car - and a sat nav would certainly be useful.
Very well equipped, especially considering we had young children. We had everything we needed in the apartment.
Location was a bit quieter than we expected (in May).
This is not really about the apartment. Good as a base to view the Murcia area. Mar de cristal is a nice area but very quiet outside the typical school holidays time. This is an ideal family area as the waters are very shallow.
The only down side I can think of was again not about the apartment but the area. If you stay here you really do need to hire a car as there is no public transport into the resort or should I say we saw none in our time there. (end of Sept/beg of Oct) It may change at busier times.
Very quiet area
