The management here was super friendly and very welcoming. The room however was not cleaned very well. The breakfast was the basic continental breakfast which was fine. I think its a bit overpriced for the accommodations.
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and every time they treat me at a family member. I feel relaxed every time I visit Comfort Inn
Management and staff were very un-professional and rude. Rooms were dirty and not fit to sleep in.
While this was rated a 3 star hotel, we would not consider it 3 star, more like 2. The room was dirty and the breakfast was terrible.
Coffee pot left uncleaned and no coffee, etc. for the next day. Asked for these at 5AM and manager told me there was coffee in the lobby !!!!! Stepped on a moldy pretzel by the bed !!!!!! What's that smell ????? This was all during my second visit in a month. 1st trip was a little better but I still made complaints at the desk. Not sure if there will be a 3rd visit even though I have a trip planned for Jan and Feb of 2011
I didn't check in until 10:30 p.m. Friday night, so my experience may be related to the limited rooms available at that time. When I got to my room, it was ajar, rather than being locked. The room was next to the employee break room, and was a 'smoking' room. It smelled like the inside of an ashtray. My clothes smelled like cigarettes when I got back home, and I had to wash or dry-clean them all. My room key worked off and on. The telephone did not work. The power switch for the TV remote control did not work. I would stay here again, but would insist on a 'no smoking' room, and would check out the appliances and plumbing carefully when I first got to the room.
The manager and his staff are wonderful. He made sure that everything was above and beyond what I expected and availed himself to us at all times. The rooms were clean, the common area on the 3rd floor was so convenient, and the staff was very quick to respond to all of our requests. We had about 20 rooms and no one was disappointed. It is conveniently located to a grocery store, plenty of restaurants, tons of retail facitilies and a short drive from down town and Purdue. Breakfast was standard fare. It was fresh and tasted good. The indoor pool area is clean and I felt comfortable allowing my son to play in it. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our family, our friends and us. We will definitely be using this hotel again in the future.
We enjoyed our one night stay here. We had stayed at this hotel before when it was a Lee's Inn. They have since gotten rid of their hot tub and replaced it with a very small sauna. We enjoyed the indoor pool, the water was warm, not cold as another reviewer had reported, but we missed the hot tub. The sauna looked like it might have been big enough for 3 extremely skinny people to sit in if they didn't mind being close. Otherwise, everything else was great. We would definitely stay here again.
The room was clean and the staff courteous. The free breakfast was very good and they offered a wide selection. I took my daughter and 2 Graddaughters for a girls night out. We took the kids for the indoor pool and it was FREEZING. The girls' teeth chattered and we had to get out, they were very disappointed. The sauna floor looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a year and the wood benches were bleached and worn.
This is a very nice hotel for the price. The rooms were clean, and the staff cheerful and friendly, even when we arrived there after midnight. The beds are comfortable, pillows great. The room and bath were clean, and everything in the room worked fine. Breakfast was good (he loved the biscuits and gravy!), but the breakfast room is a bit small. However, it was clean and the staff (and other guests) were friendly. Lafayette for us is just a place to crash for the night before moving on to our actual destination, but I would whole-heartedly recommend this hotel.
