This was a very decent, basic hotel - just what we were looking for.
When I tried to check out at the desk. I was the only person there. I called out, but no one answered. I even called the desk phone and it rang for 2 min. with no answer. Due to time considerations, I left without finalizing my bill. Very curious. We checked in easily at 1am. Had a very decent breakfast, and left by 9am. This hotel served our needs well.
Great location at a good price.
They cut corners on the renovations. Parts of the room were new but parts were still showing wear.Overall it met our needs for a one night stay. Based on reviews of it being completely new and renovated we found it was still a bit tired and needing some work. Great location and worked well for our purposes.
The price and free parking.
The walls are paper thin and you can hear literally every whisper from other rooms. The morning coffee was beyond burnt. There were small stains on the sheets.I guess you get what you pay for.
That it wasn't too far from the Playhouse Theatre.
EVERYTHING!!!! When we arrived we were given a room with a leaking bathroom ceiling. When I went to the desk and told the manager I was asked 'What do you want me to do about it?'RUN!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! When we arrived we were given a room with a leaking bathroom ceiling. When I told the manager, I was asked ' What do you want me to do about it?' We had to change again because the room we were given didn't have a refrigerator or microwave. Now I am handicapped and got NO help at all changing rooms 3 times. As a matter of fact we kept getting farther & farther from the entrance. We ended up on the second floor(no elevator). The rooms are VERY cramped. Why you put a king bed, couch and a chair a room with a refrigerator & microwave but NO table or chair? There was barely enough room for two people to walk in the room at the same time. PLEASE don't make the same mistake I did. I will gladly pay ...
The Brand New Lobby and Location
Tiny Bathroom and No fresh sheetsI'll definitely agree with the other reviewers in that the new renovations have made a difference. This feels much nicer than its star rating when you enter. The bed was comfy, the TV in my room was new and big, even the lighting was new and looked very classy. Much nicer than the star level indicated. However, my room had a tiny bathroom. There wasn't even a toilet paper holder which I thought was odd. But it had a fridge and a microwave. The hotel was pretty quiet and the bed was comfy. However, the bathroom wasn't cleaned well and the sheets were definitely not changed, or at least were not washed well. For a one star this exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely consider staying there again, and with a little more attention to cleaning this hotel could be rated much higher.
Recently renovated ¿ it was very apparent that this hotel was taking giant strides to create a welcoming and clean atmosphere for its guests. Renovations had just taken place, there was a strict no smoking in the room policy and it was a great location! My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend here and had the greatest experience! Our bedroom and bathroom were completely renovated and super clean, the staff was extremely friendly and the location of the hotel was perfect - close to downtown and the Lake! Would certainly stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice spot to stay that is easy on wallet too!!!
The price. It was available when nothing else was through priceline.
Front desk was not covered as well as it could be.It was a nice hotel, in a nice area. Had a great nights sleep. I think with the remodeling going on they could have had things marked a little bit better with the front entrance.
The room was freshly renovated and was very nice.
The hotel was under construction when we had arrived. I would have at least liked to be notified that the place I had booked a month prior was under construction. The main area was torn apart, the front desk was in a closet. No Ice machine, No mini fridgeThis hotel is going to look great AFTER the renovations are complete.
Management, newly remodeled rooms.
Nothing I disliked. It was great.Okay, listen up everyone - this week the hotel is undergoing renovation, and when you pull up, it looks REALLY freaking scary. But don't worry! The staff is AWESOME and the rooms themselves are clean, cute, and REALLY comfortable. The beds are the size of a football field.(figuratively, of course). I would DEFINITELY go here again, and that's WITH the remodeling going on. In a week or so when it's finished I have no doubt this place is going to be a pleasure for anyone to stay.
Friendly staff. Location is close to Detroit Ave for restaurants & shops. Location also close to the city. Rooms are comfortable.
The second floor hallway still has a musty smell combined with a smoky odor.Rooms are comfortable & clean. Relaxing color scheme of light blues & greens. Enjoyed the friendly welcome from hotel staff. Good location close to Cleveland & the highway.
