This property is stunning; the landscaping is breath-taking and makes you feel as if you are in a tropical paradise rather than in the heart of the desert. The rooms are both luxurious and comfortable, with modern, spacious bathrooms. The accommodations are more spa-like than most Vegas resorts, with an outdoor pool area that is amazing; but if you enjoy gambling, there is a casino on site. The property also contains a variety of restaurants, so there is really no reason to leave unless you want to take in the sights. Our stay was absolutely perfect.
Well situated hotel, luxurious and quiet. Friendly staff . except the charge of $:10.00 a day to use internet is not relevent nor justified for a hotel in that standing. It should be free as it does not exist anymore hotels in North america which does not offer Free Internet.
What a wonderful experience we had. The bathroom was magnificent. The room was wonderful as well. The staff was great , very helpful. Sandy especially. Would love to stay there again.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel with nice areas to relax and decent casino. No shuttle from airport!!! Cost us 70 dollars to get a ride there and then another sixty to get back. Pathetic. Such a beautiful place for high end clients and such poor cheap nickel dime attitude. No free coffee in am and small meal portions.
It was nice to be away from the strip, but have easy access with the complimentary shuttle to go into city for shows and other attractions. Will stay here the next trip I have to las Vegas!!!
The hotel, room, service, and the grounds were amazing. Beautiful hotel. I didn't even leave to go to the strip. I will definitely stay there again. The casino was nice. Restaurants were good. Staff nice. Japanese/sushi restaurant was excellent. Best sushi I've had. Irish pub was good. And to tip it off Starbucks! The room was like out of a movie. Very clean.
This is touted as a 'full-service resort', but does not include an airport shuttle, a microwave, or even a refrigerator (it's a cooler). The pool only stays open until 8:00pm. The ice machine was out of order the whole time we were there, so we had to go to several other floors trying to find one that wasn't out of ice. The room was beautiful, spacious, and very clean (although one sink didn't drain and the a/c was stuck on 70). Employees were very nice, and we were given a slight discount for our inconveniences; but our friends stayed at the hotel next door for 1/3 of what we paid--they had a fridge and their pool stayed open until 11:00. They even had a bowling alley and a movie theater. We stayed at a Best Western on our way home and had a refrigerator, a microwave, and a hot, complimentary breakfast-which included eggs, bacon, sausage, and waffles. **I feel as though I was paying for the Marriott name on our key card.**
Beautiful grounds. Nice room, comfortable be. Would have liked a nicer view for $/night as our balcony was just above the front entry, so there was noise associated with cars driving up/guests arriving. Shuttle does not run frequently enough to/from the strip. 6-8 adults smoked and drank in the kids pool area which made it not very useful for kids. They left their bottles and trash along pool edge, Hotels policy allows smoking outdoors so nothing was done about the adults in kids pool area when mentioned. No incentives to stay and gamble at resort. Food was decent, prices reasonable. Eli at the Spa gave a great Swedish Massage, best part of my stay. Did not use the fitness facility/internet as that was an additional $/day resort fee. Transportation to/from the airport was not cheap. If all you want to do is get away and relax than you will like the JW Marriott, if you want to enjoy Vegas than you will probably prefer the strip. Next time we will stay on the strip.
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting grandchildren and will be there in April. On setting foot in the hotel, I was astounded to find the superb architecture and decor. We learned that it was originally built by Europeans and that was explanatory. This property is one of the finest we've stayed in-good service, good food, great grounds. I truly don't ujnderstand any complaints in other reviews. It is between 4 and 5 stars and competes favorably with places we've stayed in the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean. Sincerely yours, Richard S. Kochan

Decided to stay off the strip this time, and very glad we did. Room was great with a fantastic view of the strip way off in the distance. It is relaxing but still close enough to the strip to venture out if you feel like it. Marriott is always consistant and this hotel/resort is no exception. Good mix of guests from couples to families. Great staff, clean rooms, and like all marriotts...great beds! The pool is also a great feature and there is decent shopping near by. This is the place to stay...get all the fun of Vegas while being far enough away from the crouds to actually relax and enjoy yourself. I honestly can't even imagine ever wanting to stay anywhere else when i go back to Las Vagas.
I was dissapointed with this resort, upon check in at 2am the clerk told us he had a great room for us, it was 2 doubles not one king as requested no patio or balcony and the decor in room did not depict what marriott shows on their web site. for a addl * dollars a day room changed to have a patio but decor still old not as shown on website. rooms were clean and roomy. The worst let down was the gym on website looks great, but that gym is $* a day to utilize which is not documented on web site. the gym for free is in a guest room with 4 pieces of broken equipment, dark dingy . i took alot of time to choose this resort and i feel the website \nmisrepresents alot of items. food was okay , several choices. grounds were beautiful. If i went again i would stay down the street at red rock casino for the same amt of money.
My husband and I arrived 3 days early prior to my 3 day business conference. The accommodations were far above what we expected! Ceiling fans, best hotel bathroom ever (rain shower head and huge room) clean, registration staff was incredible. A refreshing break from the strip. Rented a car and drove back to The Strip for 2 shows, no problems. Morning traffic back to airport during the week is slow, so plan accordingly. Disappointed in restaurants on site, but lots of options nearby. Access to Red Rock Canyon was great and well worth the drive just a few miles west. Would highly reccomend and will stay here again as opposed to hectic pace of The Strip.
