I have stayed here before and I always liked the size of the rooms. I have also stayed during the summer time and had fun at the pool.
A little bit off the strip but a $5 Uber ride and I can get to the strip without a problem
Rooms are a good size. The view is great. Comfortable beds.
Parking is far from the rooms. It's like a maze trying to get to your vehicle.
Price was ok
Not enough amenities to stay within the casino. No food court or shopping options
Bed was comfortable. Penn & Teller. Friendly staff.
Non-smoking room smelled smoky. Dining options were few inside or near hotel. Very dark inside compared to other casino hotels I visited in the area/strip.
You take dogs. First time at Rio and was blown away by the room, the staff, the food at Taboo. Will definitely be back.
Very difficult to get from parking garage to check in.
Got top floor, excellent view, amazing room. Buffet has gone up in price, but it's excellent for variety and quality.
I liked that the rooms were large. I also liked the food at the deli and grille.
The entire casino smelled like ashtray and smoke. The hotel check-in line at 5pm on a Friday was ridiculously long (only 5 open). Room overpriced. Hotel.com charged resort fee and so did the Rio so we got charged twice.
Proximity to strip, pool was OK but only one open at a time.
The room had stains on every couch and chair cushion and obviously used to be a smoking room. The kids pool and one bigger pool was always closed when we got there mid afternoon, and the only open pool was shaded by 3:30 by the buildings. Probably won't stay there again.
The suite rooms are very spacious! Could easily put a family in these rooms. Don't know where you could get more spacious digs for this rate. Staff was friendly.
Arrived at 5pm to check-in to a line a hundred people long at the registration desk. Not enough stations/staff open to get people into their rooms in a timely fashion.
Really outdated. Little over priced
Pool is nice. Staff is friendly. Cheap room but extra charges for just about everything, including check in prior to 4pm. Food was expensive.
Worn out rooms. Carpet was really bad. We were in the older of the two buildings so maybe the other building is better.
I didn't like the id
The room was so spacious and offered enough room for the family. Very clean- beds are nice. Great pools and we like thats is off the strip but close enough for some action (no traffic lol)
The WiFi is tricky; you pay a resort fee for wifi for 2 devices, we were charged but refunded asap- just make sure you dont pay for WiFi (unless you upgrade to super speed, then you'll pay the overage)
Clean rooms, good service, I love the extra bed in the love seat.
Take to much time to check in
The room was very big.
My biggest issue was lack of information. We got in around midnight, and couldn't find any information about the restaurants in the casino and their hours. We would have liked to use the spa, but never knew their hours or location. The bathroom was a little dirty. Our check-in rep was brusque and rude, and I couldn't hear him over the roar of the casino. We won't come back.
Pool and pool staff were great. Pool Bartenders and Servers were awesome... Sports book is my favorite, relaxing, new booths and the Bar next to the Sportsbook has friendly bartenders and the best spicy bloody-marys. Rooms are big and the beds are great. Cleaning crew was vey nice and smiled and were friendly..
Check in was horrible, all staff was grumpy and not accommodating. We tried to check in early and they wanted to charge us extra..So we waited till the 3pm and checked in after that and they still tried to charge us the fee. Windows were very dirty.
the room size was really big
the tube was old
Rio was above what I'd expected. I thought it was going to be average due to some reviews stating that its a bit old but the Rio was a pleasant place to stay in. Staff, cleanliness, and comfort were all excellent.
Loacation was a bit far from the strip but there's nothing they can do but i do appreciate the free shuttle.to the strip. The only negative Incan think of really is the overpriced items in the mini bar/cabinet. I will not pay close to $5 for a snickers bar that is only about a dollar. Please change your prices.
The pools were awesome, inexpensive food (BK), and the view was amazing.
The rooms were spacious but so 1990's with the decor.
there's a big room only.
Concierge dude was cool. Room was big.
Rude pool workers. All of them. Little shits.
elegant, quiet room.
the room was not ready; there were some stuff left from the previous guest. The bathroom door didn't close as it should and it was not fixed. They couldn't give me even 30 more minutes after the check out time without charging me for a late check out.
Everything. 20 bucks for early check in. WTF? And Pubs in shower. Gross
In the am the front desk person waived the resort stay fee because I arrived after 8 pm (all closed) and was leaving at 4 am. I liked the free parking that was very close to the resort.
The phone and refrigerator did not work in the room and only one person was working maintenance so they didn't arrive until 11 pm. which was not their fault - a hotel that size needs two or more people working maintenance.
We liked the room size, the spa ,and the pool. The spa staff was great they were very attentive and welcoming. I would recommend sitting at the bar at the seafood restaurant. We were sat at a table in the dinning room and we waited for 15 min without service. I walked to the bar and asked if we could move there. From that point on our serclvice was great. The bartenders were awesome.
My experience with the front desk was awful! I went to vegas for a competion and my day to compete moved up so I tried to book an additional night with the front desk and they seemed to be botherd by my request and then they told me it would be $365.00 for a room on a Thursday night considering my whole booking for the weekend cost $360. I thought there was maybe a miss communication so I asked if the price for the room included all of the days. He said no (with attitude ) and told me If I think I could find a better rate online I should do it through them. So I did and I went to kayak.com found a great deal these people were 10x more accommodating and helpful then the Rio staff. After I booked a room through them I had to go through the checkin line which took 30min+. The person who helped me was a bit more helpful then the previous boy and was able make it so I could stay in the same room for my other reservation.
I've been staying at the Rio for about 20yrs and its time to make some changes im mostlikly going to try a different hotel in the future but thank you for your accommodations
pool was fun .. staff friendly room was nice
hotel fees...buffet way to expensive.. not even a complentary wheelchair... machines never payout even a little bit..
The rooms are big but very plain. Far from the strip so if you're looking to be close to the action but not "in" the action this place is for you!
If you want to be treated like an airline this place is also for you! Food-overpriced and long lines. Lines long an impersonal to get your room keys. Bus to the strip you guessed it stand in line. I paid $35 for a cab to get to the hotel but saw a sign for airport shuttle!! According to the front desk it wasn't running! Do yourself a favor if you're in Vegas for the Vegas experience stay on the strip. If you're in Vegas to see Penn & Teller stay on the strip and take the bus to the Rio. If you just want a big cheap room the Rio may be for you
Staff, dirty shower, being billed for stuff we didn't use.
Hotel overall needs a complete remodel. Rooms are old and need updated. I usually love to stay here but my recent visit was dissapointing. This will be our last stay at the Rio.
Rio had very spacious rooms, the bed was comfortable and the rates were very affordable!
Our room had carpet and a couch that were gross they were so old and stained. Rio seems to try and price gauge with little details that are usually free in other hotels. For example, the room includes a coffee pot but they will charge you $9 to use the coffee provided; which only makes a tiny amount of coffee.
Great food and great casino layout
The elevator took a long time to come and one of my relatives got stuck and got told by the staff that it was gis fault
Color scheme was ok...front desk staff friendly.
Sorry, but it is substandard. Ceiling had water damage stains, hallways smell like marijuana!!!!
